I know i am new person on bvestation. I am trying doing my best.this was a pretty good train to start with, now you just have to improve the quality. if you need a cab or the basic train to place the exterior in, just ask around im sure theres developers here that would be wiling to help you out with the amount of work that you put in. the thing that i saw that really needed improving was the Nose. But in any view i thought it was pretty reasonable since its the frist released R32 we have of this kind.

The door texture, I figure you just used the same photo as the R32 exterior because that's what it looks like for me. I'd say the doors look out of wack is because I'll assume the exterior photo was resized smaller then the original thus making that door texture look fuzzy.
Interior is puzzling me. Some parts looks as if you took a picture of it, where other parts look like it was made from paint. Either I'm just getting a headache from this Java project I'm working for class or it is was I stated.
Other then that I like it. Obviously missing a cab and sounds but it's BETA so I'm not complaining.

I was actually going to say that, about that shadow that the gates on the R32 "attach" to, but I actually meant the thin black outline of the texture. But yes, that dark shadow where the gate attaches to the body should be there too, and the gate should have a rusty appearance.

Great start on the Pre-GOH, but do not forget to make the Pre-GOH R32 look much less rusty and worn, since the R32's were brand new back in those days.

Just one question, is it possible you could make the backrest of the seats curve into the part that people sit on, instead of having it all angular like that? Also, looking at some more photos of the R32 interior, It seems that the backrest only slants at the indentation (The point where it starts to curve), though it is a very tiny slant (Probably not even a degree, maybe not even a half of a degree) and then it starts to curve. All of these points I am trying to get at are very difficult to explain using words, so just refer to the photo I gave a link to earlier in the thread to see what I mean.

That looks awesome! The door windows should perfectly match the width of the rest of the windows (They currently are a bit off, they should extend down to exactly the midway point between the top and bottom of the doors) and the undercarriage should be replaced with a real R32 undercarriage too. Great work!
There is one thing I noticed while checking out the exterior, the storm door window should be a perfect square, in my resolution it seems to be too much of a vertical rectangle. Unless you have already fixed it, that is something to maybe look into. But the exterior is otherwise near perfect except for the undercarriage and door windows. ;)

Actually no, the dirt on the walls of the tunnels and the headlights make the light a yellowish orange. If this were a perfect world(lol, perfect) then that would be a white light.
On something like the 1969 Franklin Avenue Shuttle, that would look just about right.

I agree, the best thing to do is to do projects sequentially; finish the first before moving on full time to the second. Otherwise you end up tired with a lot of unfinished projects on your hands.
I need to finish the panel for the train. It's just sitting on my computer halted because of lack of textures and school work keeping me so busy. I'm gonna have to try and get textures myself. But in the meantime I guess we're gonna have to use old panel.
That's a nice panel. It seems like you took those textures from the previews of my panel that I posted up. That's fine with me. If you want the files I can send them to you and you can decide whether you want to use those instead of yours.
That panel is starting to look great! The things that still need improvement are the power/brake notches (To be more "smooth" when moving the handles between notches), the pressure gauge (The needles should be made smaller so they do not extend beyond the edges of the gauge), and the switch panel (It should be much bigger, extending down to almost controller level). And for the exterior/interior, I realized the seats do not look dark enough (They look light grey instead of dark grey/black like in real R32's), you should keep that texture for the seats but try making it darker so that it looks more realistic.
Yes, that looks much better ;) I don't know if it is just me or the picture resolution, but the bottom part of the seats that curves up seems to be too steep, you should try looking into that possibly. You should also work on the ceiling now, and the doors and windows. Another suggestion, if possible, maybe you could try coding in a dark translucent shadow-like object under the train so that it looks more realistic. We do not have any trains that have a feature like that yet to it would be cool to have it.
The train looks prefect... If anything, i would say lift the gates or make them bigger on the Front end just like it was originally...Other than that.... Great job ;)

Hello Mudwrestle, your cars are absolutely fantastic in my book... The only thing i would change is the Gates on the front... They need a slight left upward.. Other than that your in great shape... But also remember this, this is your baby...Its doesn't have to be perfectly built to the tee.. This is art representing something in the real world.. And as an actual operator of these cars, operating the beta version made me feel at home ;D prior to joining this site, i did a lot of work with MSTS and still do.. @ 0:58 were those really chains that hold up the train together?Those (which are called pantograph gates) do not hold the train together, the couplers do that. The pantograph gates create a barrier to prevent passengers from falling to the tracks between cars.

Loved testing it out. Cant seem to get the Rollsigns to stop scrolling. When I brake, route scrollsign scrolls without stopping unless I move & then the middle destination sign moves. No way to change the dot sign. Also, MPH is reading in KPH. Other than that, great job.

Hey mud, I can't get the rollsign to scroll even after the fix. Any help?
I got the same problem. The reason is the ATS activation, cause the signs don't start scrolling until the ATS turns on, and then when it does, you can't stop it from scrolling.
Does anybody have a fix? Or at least a FULL LIST of the necessary files required to achieve this scrolling effect. Cause I modified the train.dat file and it might have something to do with it not working.
Just look at the pluginstate index provided with the file and remap the keys if necessary on the train's .animated files.

It looks really good! So life-like. One question though, shouldnt the arial numbers (3559,3560...) on those numberplates be a lot bolder?
The train is coming along beautifully. One thing I wanted to point out though. In your video, I noticed that the coupler that connects the cars together is way too long. It shouldn't extend that far out from the tip of the car. That's why there was too much space between the cars on the R 32 you released. You should shorten that so that the cars are much closer together. The pantographs should be close to touching each other.
Damn this looks much more realistic than the actual train itself LMAO! I can't wait to drive this on the A line. Keep up the amazing work. Btw, is there an E line under development cause the old one has too much errors?

That could be easily done by going to the panel.cfg file, opening it w/ notepad or wordpad, and simply adding the code "Unit=1" in the [DigitalIndicator] columnWhere do you add (unit=1) exactly? Does it go before the end of the coding category or at the end underneath everything so it would be the last thing you would see in the digital indicator category?

Not to be dissing the current one but with all the recent upgrades in tech and trains, don't you guys think its time for some revisions on some of the existing routes? I-E: E,G (queensbound),L,7,NB Franklin ave shuttle. Please don't take this wrong or out of context because I love everything you guys do. I just every so often have a thought cross my mind about the routes and trains and I simply out spoken. That's why I said the other day I so wish I was back out there in New York so I could learn some of this stuff and that way I could be helping you guys to the best of my abilities. You guys have done what I've been thinking in my mind since I was about 4 years old. Which is bringing an aspect of personalism to rail fanning. Bravo! :) ;) :D ;D

I don't see anything wrong with the (E) as it stands right now. Sure it could use an update, but nothing too serious. I am going to keep this route because it is the only one that I can play without mega-lag on.

Oh ok I see. So you guys don't think that we couldn't get the E and the L routes to look somewhat like the D,or the F, or even the Q? (just examples) You know, kind of make the turns and curved tracks smoother and curvier instead of the curves looking like stright rails laid in the direction of the turn? How about some stairs,benches and other objects ect.....It's all a process.... those routes were made a long time ago when there were more severe limitations on what developers could build in terms of detail.

Even I have figured out how to code a little bit. The other day I was playing around with some of the trains and route sounds and stumbled upon some ways to add and switch out sounds. I'll try and master that aspect and move on to trains and train objects. Especially since I finally downloaded the newest version of openbve that comes with all these developer features. Still, like I've said before whenever I can get back out there maybe you guys can show me some things that I don't know because I'm very anxious to get on the team and help with BVEStation content development. I'd also need to do a lot more railfaning to get more details from all the routes in the system. So of course I'm really going to need some of you guys to railfan with, seeing as though I'm not originally from NY,but it will be my new home and what better way to get fully acquainted with my new home than to see it first hand by rail and bus. I hope you guys will welcome me. 8)
Eventually, if we can, we will release newer versions of these routes with levels of detail you all have come to expect of the modern BVE route.

I FINALLY downloaded it today, and Mud, regards from me. This is a great train. Throw some sounds in, and tweak the cab, you got a masterpiece.

The cab looks quite good. But I think the power controller should be replaced for the real R32 controller, instead of that R68-like controller.That controller is Westinghouse controller. The R68s have them, but the R32 Phase II cars had them too (Except for two cars, all the Phase II cars were reefed).

Then I'm guessing the cab is only accurate for a Phase II car. For a Phase I car, the regular R32/SMEE controller should be used.That the Rockaway Shuttle that Blue18 release.

Don't forget the LCL / EXP signs and the different number plates (which use the same font as on the R38)actually the Pre-GOH R32 number plates use a different font than the R38 ones.

5.0 works better for me. Don't know about anyone else. With 5.0, i was able to control rollsigns, exp/local indicators etc. With 6.0, the rollsigns move when I change brake and throttle positions. Local/Exp indicators don't work. Also speedometer is still measuring in KPH. But I guess thats why its labled "Beta" Other than that, great train.

Just to let you know the R32 33XX 34XX has the horn on top. 35XX + has the horn on the bottom of the train.
