A little Christmas present: 1970s EE to Continental Av BETA. This route version will never be worked on again since I will make a x100 better one in the future as part of the 1970s NYCTA Routes Volume 3 pack (will talk about the different volumes soon).

Dependencies needed: IND 8th Avenue

So if that's the case where have the guys moved to now mister? I don't see a new alternative site made regarding a move away from the site-jacking.
Everything is on Facebook now. When BVEStation went dead and the community got separated due to ridiculous problems back in the mid 2010s, there are now different NYCTA BVE groups. I'd be you I wont go in any of them and look for new stuff on Youtube instead. I always post my mine there.

Description:
The State of the Art Car (SOAC) Program was initiated by the United States Department of Transportation in 1971 and completed in 1977. The Program was designed to demonstrate the newest rail car technology, such as Director Current Chopper Control, to the older rapid transit systems (New York, Chicago, Philadelphia, Boston and Cleveland). The "new technology" San Francisco Bay Area Rapid Transit system (BART) was under construction in 1971 (it opened in 1972) when the SOAC project was initiated.

Boeing Vertol was retained as a Systems Manager for the SOAC and related work. Boeing contracted with St. Louis Car Company to build two rapid transit cars based on "BART or better" technology. St. Louis was building R-44 series cars for New York at that time, so an R-44 frame was used for the frame. The cars were extensively tested at the Department of Transportation's High Speed Ground Test Center, Pueblo, Colorado in 1973. The cars were then sent on a national tour in 1974-1975, and visited New York City during 1974 and operated on various lines as follows:

May 17-18, June 14, June 16-20 on the D
June 21, June 23-28 on the N
June 30 - July 5 on the A
July 8-14 on the E
July 15-19 on the D

Key assignments:
7: Side roll signs.

Credits:
The R44 Project Team, since their R44 was used for the SOAC project.

1960s-1970s Lover:
-Interior, exterior (front and underbody), cab and texture modifications.
-Trucks.
-3D Cab (Animated codes, some textures and models taken from the R46 Pre-GOH's cab. Credit to its respective owner Manuel Mejias).

Conversion to HMMSIM is authorized AS LONG AS YOU GIVE CREDITS TO THE RESPONSIBLE DEVELOPER of the SOAC (Me).

Might be updated in the future!

Any questions, or issues to report, feel free to message me on Messenger (Ilia Cnk).

Thanks for downloading and enjoy!

Hello Everyone I am wanting to know how do you change the 3rd power rail color in a route Ive got some information on it but it was'nt clear can anyone help me with this? Thank you. Where do you go to change it and where does the numbers go?
Current rail objects' 3rd rail uses the same texture as the running rails, so the easiest way is to edit this texture or replace it with a 3rd rail texture (what I did for the 1970s Nassau St line) but in that case the running rails will have the 3rd rail texture as well. If you want to change all tracks of all routes 3rd rail texture, you want to change every Rail.png and Rail.bmp texture in your Object folder. Other possibility are to code all the rail objects to use a different texture for the 3rd rail, but trust me you don't want to do it either because there are hundreds or even thousands of track files to edit and no one has time for that.
I feel you since it frustrated me as well because people who built these tracks couldn't spend a few more minutes to put a 3rd rail texture, that's a shame.
Now that's why I'm making new tracks with a realistic 3rd rail for the L line and my 70s routes:

Would there be another site to download the NYCT trains and routes?
I don't know, this site is so dead that nothing is uploaded on the download page anymore, only on forums but even that is rare because people take centuries to work on new content unlike back in 2010-2015, or they just stopped developing because of their personal life and work. A lot of inactivity in the community anyways, at least there's me working everyday on my projects. But I'll always put links on forums once I release something.

The 1969 rollsigns for the R40/M/42 are finished, here's a video for those who didn't watch it yet:

NYCTA Projects / Re: (WIP) L line
« on: July 29, 2018, 04:01:19 am »
The L line is a bit halted and I can't really stick to the schedule like working on it every weekend, switching constantly between different projects is very disturbing.
I decided to post some updates that I did a while ago. The route is still being worked on but very slowly:

Pics will talk:
(I made the 1985 R42 a while ago and forgot to show it, still needs to be updated with new model and textures)

Thank you. And yes I will. But I still have to fix and add a lot of curves to the route. Today I'll redo the curve before Canal St and make it sharper
