It will not open until the PATH side gets repaired. It will somewhere before SAS.
Well, guess I'm back.

Slants I didnt see your post but why are they gonna reopen the station until the tower is finshed? 9/11 Might happen again and then we will all be back from Square 1.
Besides the Station is finshed already except for the platforms there still broken a bit

The Platform is not finished, not even close, the walls on on the platform are basically in the outdoors. the station was literally under the WTC site. so the whole station is gone. even reports and workers say its not going to open until at least 2014. Right around where the 1 World Trade Center will be finished, and also, DO NOT think that it might happen again.

@Slants
The station was Directly Under the World Trade and the twin towers with a entrance at Cortlandt Street & Greenwich Street So I agree with you and what you are saying

How are you saying that the station is completly destroyed? Take A look:
http://images.nycsubway.org/i1/img_207.jpghttp://images.nycsubway.org/i1/img_212.jpghttp://images.nycsubway.org/i1/img_213.jpghttp://images.nycsubway.org/i1/img_219.jpg
http://images.nycsubway.org/i1/img_225.jpg
That one i do not understand

The first pic is from 1999, all the ones that you just posted are proof that the station is damaged.... your basically not proving your point that the station is 100% complete

And btw, this is the wrong thread to be talking about this

Actually, Ztraintobroad is right - the station, for the most part, isn't completely destroyed. Rather, it sustained heavy damage, which was enough to shut down the entire station. But I'm not putting this up for debate - if you guys think it's completely destroyed, then feel free to. In the end, it's being repaired anyway, so this is really a trivial matter.  :)

As for the video clip of the subway crash in the movie Knowing, no that's not what happened when the Twin Towers fell. That was an allusion to the 14 Street Wreck that happened on 08/28/1991. And to confirm your statement, yes that isn't a R62 train.

9/11 isn't going to happen again. NEVER AGAIN~

People aren't going to get hijacked easily anymore. A very good example is when that (5) train nearly got hijacked. People didn't sit and cower under the seats. They fought for entry into the cab to subdue the hijacker. If a plane is hijacked again, passengers are going to follow the example of the heros of Flight 93. God bless the passengers of Flight 93 for sacrificing your lives to protect others.

I heard the Cortlandt St (1) station would open sometime around 2013 along with the new WTC PATH hub.... I'm not sure if the entrance is just a big wooden block now since it is supposed to be sealed off with something more then just tape...

Never say never, not like I hoping for it to happen again.  But anything can happen again, like the possibility of a meteorite hitting us again or another deadly hurricane.

To the (5) incident, honestly that all happen because New Yorker's don't take shit like that. Any plane has a possibility of being hijacked or what not.
