building another R44 or R44/R46 hybrid
« on: January 13, 2012, 02:12:41 am »
OK people i am seriously considering putting together a photorealistic R44/ R46 hybrid, this will be my own little project and i will release it when it becomes complete. I will be working on it in my spare time so expect it to be coming together in the next 3 or 4 months, no rush........What i do ask is alittle help, I need as many photos of the R44/R46 as possible seeing that i am not in NY, i cant just go get my own, Believe me if I could I would. I need your help to make this happen. If you can send the photos to Tim_franklin@ymail.com  PLEASE NOTHING BUT PHOTOS ONLY. If you do decide to pitch in include where you got it from. for credits. Please remember this is my first train so DONT RUSH ME. but ask as many questions as you would like. ;D

i wonder how that will work, considering the R44 and R46 are very similar. But good luck

Perhaps an R46 with R44 motors?

Either way, good luck!

Yeah im going to do that, it wont have interiors or anything fancy, but it will look real. i have a question for you guys, is it legal to use other cabs and give the credits to the respective maker???   Im doing this to hold people over until Zerobeats gets back and/or keep the R44 in mind and to contribute to the BVE community

You will have to privately ask ZeroBeats for permission

yeah, I would love to use it but id rather leave his cab as virgin material, I dont wanna spoil the release lol. i was thinking using a R44 controller in a fictional. R62 wide cab cab, ill prob get it from london stock as some use the same Brake/throttle set up.

The R44 Hybrid is in the coding stages, i have one of my coworkers trying to do it for me. I have the textures i need. This project is going to take some time because of the SR62 project that moved ahead of it. just thought of giving an update.
