Also i forgot to mention this happens on all nyc routes on bve 2.
-
Hmm I have never seen anything like this before..
Try using BVE4 or OpenBVE, as BVE2 doesn't play nice with some newer computers
-
i have a old computer from 2004 running windows xp plus bve 4 does the same thing.
-
Make sure your objects are all there And in the same folder
other then that I would not know what you should do.
-
I think it is a problem with my computer or something is broken within my bve.Because i tested routes out that had worked before. But they are all like this.I had bve a while ago then i uninstalled it because i went off it.Then about 3 days ago i reinstalled it to play the nyc routes and i had this problem. Also the other routes i tested are diffrent routes not nyc routes.
-
Try re-installing BVE and see what happens
-
I have i even cleared all the route folders and directorys and reinstalled bve then i reinstalled the route and the train
-
it stayed the exact same.
-
Did you get any error notices while the route was loading? Like, saying something about files not being found or something? If so, post a screenshot of the notice
-
nope no error messages.
-
This is likely not an error with OpenBVE, and most likely a problem with your computer (most likely the graphics card).
I don't know exactly what to do to fix it though.
-
I am starting to think that too, as some PC's (Especially very old ones) have difficulties running BVE. It could also be because your computer is older than the route itself, but I am not 100% sure
-
I am almost certain it is a problem with his graphics card (card failure, driver issues)
-
i have had problems with my computer for a while it is going downhill so it will be my computer.it does have specs much higher than the bve recommended but it is starting to fail i am getting a new computer for christmas anyway.i can wait till then.

For best results with BVE (and many other games), try to get a computer with an ATI video card (if you get to pick)..those generally tend to work better with BVE than video cards from other brands.
-
Not true at all, I've been using nVidia and never had a BVE problem.

error46146's keyword being generally...
Well regardless of what your personal experiences are, it has been noticed that in the past 4 or so years that BVEStation has been in operation, 4/5 of the problems with graphics on BVE have involved nVidia cards in one way or another.
-
and I have noticed that 3/5 of the problems, the user were not computer orientated thus it wouldn't matter what card they were using in the first place.

Please note that I was talking about users with hardware problems not problems with user skills themselves.
Anyway back on topic it is likely that your graphics card is failing. Since your computer is already from 2004 you might as well just wait for your new one.
-
bottom line is to update your graphics drivers and directX
