NYCTA Projects / Re: And the Only BVE 5 compatible route we have is...

There is a convertor that does just that. Convert between b3d and csv and vice versa. It's called convertor2 and has been around since like 2003 or something.

To answer all questions, yes it's a B division route, the line is 215th street, queens, to Bedford avenue, Brooklyn, and yes, all my routes will have cab darkness. MetroTransit is a fictional NYC subway replacement. The routes do not follow any specific path.

What's up people? I haven't posted in a while, so I figured I'd post a good one. I am officially announcing the MetroTransit (E) Line. This will be my first 5th Gen route and will be designed with high quality objects designed by myself, BStyles, JayJay85, and error46146. This route is openBVE ONLY. I will also be updating my Highbridge 8 Line, but that is on hold for now. This route will not be released anytime soon, so for now, check out the screens and stay tuned.

Excellent tutorial. This is a big help to me. BTW, what's the name of the song in the vid and who is it by?

General BVE/OpenBVE / Re: Hosting More Content

I am all for this. I have personally spoken with highly regarded developers in the BVE community such as Steve Green and Anthony Bowden, and I would love for developers of any decent content from any country to host here. I agree 100%.

NYCTA Projects / Re: (WIP) Official Update Thread for the R44

The train is coming along nicely and it gives me the feel of operating a true NYC train. One thing I have to say though from testing on routes of our specifications that Joe was right in pointing out that the cab view is a little too high. Other than that, a masterpiece.

LOL. Finally. Someone other than myself that uses ObjectBender. LOL. That's great news JayJay. I was in the process of doing that myself, but now I don't have to.  ;D

You guys don't need to do a fresh install. Just use Piriform CCleaner. Gets rid of all that stored crap on your PC.

Exactly like that, however, the Light.Direction command can only be used once and at the beginning of the route to display which direction the outside light is coming from. The brightness command takes care of cab lighting. Currently there is no other way to simulate what was shown in the video.

I've actually tried that before and Joseto is right, only a small section of the cab lights up, but if we did do that, we could set the brightness low so as no to fully brighten the cab. Also, that would require way too many commands, a total of 8 per 25m section.

If you add brightness commands, as far as I can tell, it doesn't affect anything.
