You have to buy it if you want to record videos with it (Or at least videos longer than 30 seconds), but there is a free trial available, and you can take screenshots normally with the F10 key (With Fraps open, and when you press F10 to take a screenshot you should see a white box surrounding the framerate indicating overlay for a second)

Oh okay so another question can i can screenshot without fraps like when your driving the train on Openbve how can i take screenshots

well press Prtsc "print screen" and open paint and press ctrl+v and save the image that pops up. if it dosent pop up try doing it while running bve in windowed mode instead of full screen
