I still like the R68's as i grew up with them on the N line when i lived in Astoria, I know they look obese but just something about them that no other train has, it looks like the inside of a R46 but with a stainless steel interior, and it has the propulsion of the R62A, meanwhile the R160's are rusting as well, and they have only been in service for the past 5 years or so, and the seals at the end of the cabs look like they are about to come off.
I am not dissing the R68/A I agree that they have special qualities about them and they beat the R160
as the best train any day but what I am saying is that they are getting to be old rusty and someone
brought up that they have bad breaks now and they rocked it on the N,Q, and W but the D,B are killing
the fleet and it is starting to suck I agree with you that the R160's are starting to go through the same
thing even though they are the youngest fleet in the system thus far and now they are starting to get
old and shitty too give it time the NTT I am certain they will improve the technology and the more trains
they make the better they would get but at this point we have to give it time the R160 is in service but
it is only mainly a test of NTT give it time but overall I agree with you 100%
