Can't Operate Train on OpenBVE + Issues
« on: August 01, 2011, 04:54:27 pm »
So I have switched to windows 7 and I wanted to download and play openbve. I followed the instructions and downloaded the 7 and the R62. It says there are issues along the route, but I downloaded everything. I click ignore and I can't operate the train! I released the brake and I am pressing Z and it does nothing even know its on level 3. When I go to exterior view, all I see is white boxes! Can someone help me?? I just deleted all BVE files so I can re-install it.
Well, guess I'm back.

The R62 doesn't come with an exterior, therefore you will see the gray boxes. The R62A beta has one.
Did you switch the train into forward "gear"?
Once you're loaded:
Press "F" to go to forward
--or--
Press "V" to go backwards

What about the R142A??

When you said the train won't move even though its on level 3, it won't move because maybe the brakes aren't fully released yet. Give it like 10 seconds for it to be fully released

@Casey
To add on SMEE trains except the R-44/46 have 2 handles power and brake so the problem probably was he didn't release the brakes which the keys are:
" < " Releasing brake
" > " Applying brake service.

The one handle trains I think the OpenBVE default for braking is " Q ". And obviously taking power is " Z "
