I find it helpful to see on Youtube how to install OpenBve , I found it more detailed watching someone actually installing files from start .I could not get mine to start , but now all I get is errors from loading problems I am trying to resolve

I understand that , I was actually forgetting that I was using it on BVE trainsim , cos I cant get it to load on open or 4 without complications or a black screen , I have loaded it many times but it wont come up in the menu and it wont select by default .I wanted to know also if it works to swap trains on lines they are made for , like if I cant get the R46 to work on K or Q lines , can I put a R184 in place for the r46 without hassle in open bve ?

I have had those files go in correct folders for this and other lines and stilll get a dark tunnel, signal and traincab as well as 1000+errors , but it is helping me to resolve if I have doubled the files , I re shuffle them , and seapaarted them and reloaded after re configuring the tree the right way and still get errors .

Thank you so much for that advice .I will keep my eyes open for that .I did have the V line running ok , I tried the r-46 , it runs ok for open bve , but looks so primitive .I believe it is being upgraded .

I am having the same trouble and trying to get help for it also .

I have double checked that and reloaded files several times  discovering this and still have files seem to not work I have tried to re do the file tree without upsetting the parent file .I have tried to load routes and corresponding dependencies and trains one at a time , checking the directory file has gone to the right locations .
I have only been trying this on openbve and not sure if I have corrupt files from Railserve where I tried to get trains from before I found Trevors .I will try and save the logs when errors arise and include here at some point .

I am having similar trouble with this as well , although things are loading to the right folders , I still get error messages , the game loads ok if I ignore the errors but tunnels (subway) I can only see the signals and nothing else .All the sounds and functions are working fine , but I keep overrunning stops cos I cant see , its certainly a challenge to "drive blind " slowing and stopping for amber or red signals lol .Also any train cab loads ok , its just the structures I cant see .

I have got the open bve program to operating stage after reloading  so many times and finding out to install extra files from win.32 i didnt see in the instructions .I saw tutorials on Youtube tht hepled me get it going .Now I find I having some errors and I wanted to know if Ihave to install  train ,route, objects manually from the download screen into their own folders or it does it from the content folder itself if i load it to that directory .I will try again to reload the trains or routes because i think stuff went in the wrong folders .

Thanks for that , I tried to skip the lines i didnt have info for , and loaded it to CD first .I got some lines working , and then started getting read errors , also I found some trains required for routes , werent listed in the trains area to download and I wasnt sure what I could put on those lines ,I will try to reload the programs all in one file because they were scattered all through different files somehow .I have wiped it all now and will keep trying until I get it all done right .

I have attempted to use openbve and load as much tracks and trains as practical .I did reload it again and got one line to work and have now tried loading to cd rom until i sort out my hard drive .I think some files may have stopped loading if I already have them , but have made note of the ones that were interrupted during download

I am new to this program and having some problems loading files , some file  down loads for trains and routes were seemingly interrupted .I loaded the standard game from Caiman, and the BVE site , but once i started to try getting trains and routes things just would not work .I have tried all versions several times removing and reloading but can only get the japanese ones to work .I am not sure of updates and I know theres files prior to 2007 that dont work , i avoided them for that reason
