By the way, is anyone interested in making an interior or a more detailed exterior? I have a pretty nice side texture.

If you want, when you finish, you can re-release it with my updated 68.
Aren't we working together?

You have a PM.

I love MSTS! It really brings a classic feel. Shame the trains accelerate and decelerate like rollercoasters though.

They look very nice! And with the depth of the shots you took, is there a possibility for a 3D cab to be implemented?

Game looks good and I'll definetely be checking this one out. However, how are the frame rates for this game? Do you need a high end computer to run it, or will it do good on most average computers.

Transit / Re: BREAKING NEWS - PATH TRAIN CRASH IN HOBOKEN
« on: May 08, 2011, 11:38:56 am »
I wonder what happened? Could this be a repeat of the R143 accident at Canarsie when the T/O was incapacitated? The amount of injuries seems really high, so it seems that the train was at a fairly decent clip when the incident happened.

It seems like that too. Plus, there are strict speed limits entering Hoboken, so I guess something must have happened to the T/O.

SIR for BVE? Sounds cool!  Now we'll have use for that R44...

This is a revision of his previously released IND Staten Island Division which includes the (H), (Q), (X), and (P) lines.

Hey Jay, could you put timers on this route to showcase how they work when TJay finishes them? It would be nice seeing the new NYCTA object packs at work in the revised Staten Island division with whatever else you're going to throw at us!

It is possible, but the bus would travel on a fixed route and it wouldn't be very fun. I suggest you try CBS, Bus Driver, or any game that's designed specifically for buses.

PHOTOGRAPHY IS NOT A CRIME!!!

I really dont know where this anti photography trend comes from; i've read things about how it comes from movies how people who spy would do so with a camera and other things, idk.

Personally i feel banning photography means that you are hiding something and you do not want proof of it to be exposed. iirc PATH banned photography well before 9/11 not because of any security reasons, but they did not want people taking photos of the graffiti.

It's pathetic and hypocritical of people to see photography as some kind of evil terrorist activity, how would they like it if they were punished just because they wanted to take some vacation photos?

There's a fine line between taking a picture of someone smiling on the platform versus zooming in at a punch box  standing there for almost an hour observing the mechanisms. Photography isn't a crime, but you should be aware of WHAT YOU ARE FILMING. To the average person waiting for their train, you would undoubtedly arose suspicion when you're taking a video not of the train, but of the signals and the tripcocks ect.

@DJ Hammers, the campaign is not stupid. We live in New York City, if you've forgotten, and we are a target for foreign and domestic terrorists. You never know if that bag sitting in the corner of the subway car will be the last thing you see. I encourage everyone to report suspicious activity. Remember, it's better to be safe than sorry.

3D-ing the underbody does not mean making the wheels 3D. It means actually going under there and making every separate box for all of the hanging equipment, and placing both 3D axles and wheels, and trucks. The underbody can be part of the side texture, just as long as all the dark areas around the equipment is transparent.

I believe there's a misunderstanding. I could care less about 3D-ing the underbody or the wheels, but it looks like they're going to add a bit more detail to the axles which is a great thing.

What I'm concerned about is the PROPORTION between the car structure itself and everything else below that point. From the given visuals, it looks like the R46 has the same problem as the R160, the car structure will not align correctly with the platform. The underbody seems too small height wise, and as a result, the doors will sink below the platform. There is a fix to this if you modify the texture and make the underbody a bit larger to avoid this problem, however, with the introduction of a more detailed axle, I don't know how easy it will be to fix it now.

There is a new Exterior in the works, so that exterior is not final

That's good news. Will there be the correct gap dimensions on the train for the car structure.

Now that's what I call a train? Quick question though... now is the train going to have regular sounds or the whirrling motors?

I'm curious as well. I hope this will feature whirrling motors!

By the way, I'm concerned with the exterior. The undercar seems way too small in comparison with the rest of the carbody itself. The wheels and the axel seem way too small!
The doors also seem to hug the edges of the train far too much, when there should be a small gap between the edges of the window and the edge of the train. The door image used as the animated object also stands out with the rest of the car. Seems more like an R160 door instead of an R44.

But great work nevertheless! The panel looks great!

MY COMMENTS ARE TO BE VIEWED AS CONSTRUCTIVE CRITICISM!
