The Essential Objects and Signals packs have been released by our very own TJay1724! The signal pack also comes with a demo route to try them out on. You may grab them in the downloads section and enjoy.

Yes, and I will also be restarting development on the 4 and the HL with these new objects. Great release, TJay!

I tested the route. I first manually operated the train, and the route was pretty good. Then, I activated the AI. It seems the AI has issues recognizing the signals, because it blows through yellows at 55 MPH. Any way to first that?

I'll see what I can come up with, but as far as I can tell, openBVE see's the signals as animated freeobjects but will use them as signals when they are coded into the route as such, but it will not recognize or penalize you as it would if it was the built in signals. These signals were paterned after the BRsigs and as far as I can tell, those signals don't have any special code in them that I didn't use and they have penalties because their trains have safety system plugins and the routes have the corresponding beacons. But I will look into this because that bothers me too.

Now that the Object Pack is released, I will be resuming development on the 6 using these. Excellent work TJay!

Thank you all for your comments, suggestions and most of all, your support. This would'nt be possible without the community. I am always working on new ways to improve and as such, I have begun work on the Open World Object Pack. This is basically objects such as staircases, animated trees, whole city blocks that surround the entire scenery and provide different types of buildings and parks etc. (So you won't see any open space) Animated clocks and train arrival boards, new animated rain, animated tripcocks, signs (speed, resume, cars, etc.), station canopies and railings, and other things. Suggestions are welcomed. I'm also working on a custom marker set for displaying timetables, since the majority of our trains don't make use of panel2 and therefore do not have the timetable command. I'll explain this later.
