Title: openBVE trains to BVE4 compatibility
Post by: kawasakir160 on April 23, 2011, 10:21:51 pm
i was wondering if all future openBVE compatible trains could have a BVE4 version of the train as well, so us people who are not fans of openBVE can still enjoy that train action lol

also released trains like the R38, R40 Slants

that would be appreciated

To put it really simple at least for my trains (The R38, R33-ML, and soon the R33-WF [in cooperation with Mr. Railfan] ):

There will be BVE4 versions of my trains once somebody converts them to run at their fullest potential in BVE4. I can not develop stuff for BVE4 because none of my computers support it (I tried running BVE4 by dual booting windows on my mac but it wouldn't talk with my graphics card right  :'(  ) .

In the near future it is quite likely that there will be a rise in the amount of OpenBVE-only trains for a variety of reasons, most of them due to the obsolescence of BVE2 and BVE4 compatible hardware.

will the sounds stilll be the same?

because the converted version of error's R160 Siemens for BVE2 sounds nothing like the openBVE version

That is because I tweaked and replaced some of the sounds while converting them. I'll revisit BVE 2/4 train making soon, I still plan on making a final BVE 4 version of the R62/A and some other trains I'm releasing. I've honestly just been too lazy to put up with waiting 5 minutes for my XP partition to boot lol

Last two links are the newest files; the first is the pre-GOH version and the second, post-GOH.

Neither... They're only for openBVE
