Hello.
I have a big trouble.
I tested BVE 2/4 with a nVidia GeForce GTX 480 on my PC with Windows XP SP3, testing all drivers available (about 30 versions :o), but this happens (instead with GeForce 7900 GTX, BVE worked with driver not later than 266.58 version, but that is not a trouble):
BVE 2 (Uchibo Line):

BVE 4: (Uchibo Line):

Seems something about vanishing point of the perspective.
With all other routes is the same.
If I enable or disable anisitropic and/or antialiasing filters there is not changes.
DirectX is updated at latest version available for XP.
If I disable Direct3D Hardware Acceleration BVE 2 works and BVE 4 does not work transparents of the cabin, but I wish that it also works with Direct3D Hardware Acceleration.
How can I solve the trouble (except to switch to OpenBVE)?
If it can not be solved, than it is OK to buy an older video card than GeForce GTX 480, for example a GeForce 200 series, but I do not know which is the latest GeForce that works with BVE 2/4.
Does anyone use GeForce 200 series or newer to run BVE 2/4?

A. Windows XP is going out of support in 2 months. Upgrade to Win 7 or 8
B. Use openBVE. It'll work with your video card perfectly and is compatible with all BVE2/4 routes. BVE 2/4 is not worth the hassle of trying to get to run on modern systems. openBVE supports many more features than BVE does anyways
I honestly can't think of any reason why you would insist on using BVE 2/4, when openBVE is better than BVE in almost every aspect of the game.

XP support end is not a problem, because that PC is not connected to Internet.
I already use OpenBVE, but it does not work well with some routes for BVE 2/4, instead they evidently work with BVE 2/4 (with GeForce 7900 GTX), and for others reasons...

This issue with BVE 2/4 that you're describing has been around for years. This has been a problem since like the 8600 GTX series and it's not going to be fixed any time soon (if at all).
I don't know what motherboard or processor you have, but I do know that BVE 2/4 does run on integrated graphics. If you have a chipset that supports integrated graphics, you can try switching to that to see how it works. As for solving the nVidia issue, I don't know because I haven't used the legacy versions of BVE in years. I remember ipac (head admin) trying to work out a fix several years ago with his nVidia card, but I can't recall whether he ever found a solution. You can ask him, though.

I have also integrated video card, but it has not performance enough.
Does anyone use GeForce 200 series or newer to run BVE 2/4 under Windows XP?

I have solved the trouble. :)
- GeForce GTX 280: it works until 266.58 driver (perhaps also GeForce GTX 285, but I have not tested it)
- GeForce GTX 480: it does not work with any drivers
