I just got my windows xp hardrive back up and running. I had to reinstall everything. Now i tried bve 2 and bve 4 and it has the same problem. I installed all the necessary programs to run bve. Direct x and .net framework. Updated all my graphics drivers. My computer specs are i7 960 processor andgtx570 nvidia graphics card. Its a gaming computer. I have windows 7 on my other hard drive and play gta 4 with highest graphics possible. Please help. :)

Hmm that definitely is an interesting issue... Yea it probably could be an issue with your graphics card; nvidia doesn't work too well for BVE AFAIK..

If I were you, I would switch to openBVE. It has better support for a wider variety of graphics hardware.

Why would you use XP on a computer like that?

+1 ; With a rig like that, openBVE should be the better choice.

+1 ; With an i7, I would agree with him and ask why is XP being used.

I have 2 hard drives. One has windows xp and is from my old computer. And the other one is windows 7, this is my main one. Can you play bve 2 routes on openbve? if so then ill just do that.

yes , you can , but there might be some graphic glitches as openbve doesn't support some codes from BVE 2 / 4. I highly recommend Openbve as the majority of the future routes that will be released , will only be compatible for Openbve as it contain animated objects and timer signals that bve 2/4 can't support.

I'd just RAID 0 them and get the added performance
Anyways, just use Windows 7 and openBVE. Most of the stuff here is designed for openBVE anyways so you'll get added compatibility instead of reduced compatibility, not to mention that you could run routes at a resolution something other than 640x480

i am using open bve. its working but evertime i upon up any route it either says files missing or errors occured. it still works. except the r68 which seems to be a 3 sec delay when i go to power or brake. Other than that im pretty happy with open bve

Are you using Windows Xp 32 bit or 64 bit?
Ps: Upgrade your computer to Windows 7

Sounds like its been a while since you've updated any BVE content...
Here's a R68 that works better on openBVE
