As Tjay mentioned the new route is a modification of the Highbridge 8 line into the Metro Transit (4) local train. This is the first version and it will later receive his new objects & details!

NEW OPENBVE ROUTE

MT (4) New Lots Local  [Version 1]
DOWNLOAD
8 MB

-Install to your OpenBVE directory & overwrite files if asked!
-This will replace your current Highbridge 8 Line with the MT (4) Line.

I don't know how to animate the doors. I only work with the sounds, panel & exterior graphics.

Cool!! Can't wait for the Sieman's set!! Love the sounds. Hope this will have the individual route letters on the panel like the 179 has now.

There seems to be a lot of confusion going on as it seems there are multiple R142A & R143 projects going on but I don't think you should post that you are working on it until you have something to show for it! And when you do, create a new thread for it, post screenshots, videos, etc.! There's nothing wrong with having two versions of the same train but why waste your time saying you're working on this and that and then we never hear about that train again.


My next projects are the Siemens R179 and a new R142A with HD sounds, and combine the animated signs from the <6> with the new interior from the (7).

SIR I am going to send you the final R143 V8.2 So you can make your final touches on the 24.

Sounds good! Also the R142A actually sounds like an R142A now, I'll release a preview of the new sounds soon.

If you need the front for the R143 I hav a clear 1 with the R143 because the 1 u hav it looks lik u or some1 copy and pased the flags to a different position

Sure, what does the front of your R143 look like?

Hey guys I am editing this model to make a simple and easy (7) train, if (Sir) doesn't want it, then progress will stop. It will feature a different exterior/interior.

I don't mind if anyone wants to modify the trains on their own computer. But if you would like to release a modified version for everyone else to download, just PM me, I'll check it out and release it on the first page of this thread. Do you have any pics of your work so far?

Speaking of (7) Trains, will you also make an R188 sometime in the future, SIRNSL?

Yeah definitely, just waiting to see how the R188 will be designed IRL.

Hey SIR, maybe you could use this as your R179 version 9 or 10

I'm done working on the sounds and train.dat for all the trains except for the siemens R179 which I will reveal soon (after the R143 10.0) . Are they fine with all of you who downloaded the trains?

I've asked this before but would anyone like to modify the R143 exterior to look more like an R143? I'm very satisfied with the way it sounds now and I'll add more versions of the R143 in the future like the R179. I would like to move on to creating a new Siemens R179 but I want to release a new exterior for the R143 first!

Thanks, that's on my list of things to do actually.  All of the downloads are now .7z form and it really cut down on the size.

R143 Version 9 is now released. It has the strip maps thanks to Lance, a new exterior and louder sounds.

And those are all great ideas. I want the R143 to look realistic as possible so if anyone else wants to help out or change any of the png files to make it look better feel free to do so!  I can always add the changes to a newer version.

Not for the grey wallpaper ends. If anyone wants to help with that as well it would be appreciated.
