Its because developers and forum members alike have school and college, (well not at this moment) but this is just the case and this is more important than game development right now. :)

I doubt that could be the only reason. I mean it's almost completely dead... Like no more of Happy Thanksgiving on main page. No Merry Xmas. Nothing. Not even a hello on the main page. I mean I think BVE station does feel dead because as busy as people can be, 2mins greeting or a featured post of some kind etc shouldn't be much. Just my 2c.

openBVE is definitely not dead! Lots of development work is going on.  :D

 I think there has been a marked shift from forums to Facebook as a place of discussion. You can always participate in openBVE discussion on BVEStation's facebook page and group:
