(WIP) Official Update Thread for the NYCTA IRT Routes
« on: December 31, 2010, 09:08:14 pm »
This is the new official update thread for IRT development of all bronx-bound routes. For all of the old members who have been following regularly, then you should know that the 4 topic will be consolidated to meet the demand for new development. As for new ones, the images will follow shortly.

The objects folders for these routes will also be centralized to require less dependencies. It makes no sense to have to download multiple folders for one line, and from a different division. The folders are as follows:

"7thAve" Object Folder - 1, 2, 3, and the 5 from Flatbush to President and from 149th to Nereid.
"Lexington" and "Pelham" Object Folders - 4, the 5 from Franklin to 138th, and the 6 from 125th to Pelham Bay Park.
No info on which object folder the 7 uses, but more than likely it will be labeled "Flushing".

Four object folders for seven routes based around the same principle as a punchbox.

Progress(this main post will be updated regularly):

1 - The 2 via the 1 is under development. The official 1 is currently slated for development after the completion of this G.O. To Catch up on the progress, please see these topics: http://forums.bvestation.com/index.php?topic=593.0 For 2 Via 1: http://forums.bvestation.com/index.php?topic=1093.15

2 - The Nostrand Branch of this route is under development, while the Eastern Parkway portion follows development of the 4. The lines will merge development once the Nostrand line is complete.

3 - A skeleton from Livonia Yard to Crown Heights - Utica Avenue is currently in the works. Will follow development of the 2 and 3 once this is complete.

4 - Progress is as far as Nevins Street. Backtracking to update objects and placement info for the 2 and 3 are underway.

5 -  Once the Eastern Parkway portion of the route is complete the 5 will merge development with the 4 and then continue development with the 2 at 149th.

6 - JayJay85 is working on the Pelam portion of the route. Once it reaches 125th, the line will merge development with the 4 and 5. To catch up on the progress, please see this topic: http://forums.bvestation.com/index.php?topic=148.0

7 - EDawg is working on the Manhattan-Bound version. In the future the extension will be added. To catch up on the progress, please see this topic: http://forums.bvestation.com/index.php?topic=140.0 and the archived topic on the old forum: http://www.bvestation.com/forums/index.php?topic=410.0

Credits go out to Twig, Ray, Lexington456, JayJay85, NYC-T-Driver, EDawg, and Manny who have, and will be developing the IRT routes.

Picking up where I left off, work progressing on Atlantic:

I'll start with the middle platform and work outwards.

The objects are starting to look more and more realistic.

The first new garbage can object in years:

Wow! Looks like work on the Lex has finally been kicked into high gear. That Atlantic Avenue station looks like a graphics card murderer but, its so realistic.

Keep it up, guys.

On the contrary, the stations run perfectly fine in both Route Viewer and OpenBVE(unless you're one of those guys who like to place thousands of garbages in one station lol). Well, of course, there are no tunnels. :P

Version two of the photo tunnel walls will be displayed soon. They will be a lot more frame friendly than the previous version and will have newer textures.
