NYCTA Projects / Re: (WIP) Official Update Thread For The R68/R68A

Wow! This is looking great! Can't wait to use it on the B and D, I love those routes and would love a nice train to run on them!

BVE/OpenBVE Support / R160 Questions
« on: November 13, 2016, 04:09:01 pm »
Okay,
So I've checked out the R160A again, and annoyingly, the trucks that are animated are waaaaaay too slow. At like 25 mph, it looks like they're going like 5mph. Anyone know of a solution to this, or will I just have to wait for the new R160 in development right now. Also, where can I find more FIND routes to put in? I know how to copy/paste the exterior LED destination signs, but I can't seem to find more FIND routes. Thanks.

Plugins do work on mac you have to modify them fyi.
How might one edit these plugins so they work on Mac? I'd love to be able to use OpenBVE fully without needing to use my Windows partition.

Oh, I didn't know that! Thanks, I might try that in the future!

Yeah, plugins don't work on Mac. Believe me, I've tried. :/

Oh, by the way, just a tip for you guys making the Strip Maps, they've introduced new ones on the 2/5 with both lines on them, just FYI.  ;)

7
:D Hey, you took my suggestion and added the Courtesy Counts ads ;)

8
Oh, yeah, and, forgot to say: Looking great! ;)

9
You guys gonna put the "Courtesy Counts" ads in the trains? ;)

10
I don't mean to bug you guys (I know you have lives other than developing), but I was just wondering if we could get a progress update on the NTT's? ;)

I can't believe how detailed this is! OpenBVE has sure come a long way from stretched out textures for stations, no background buildings, and trains with blank boxes for exteriors. ;)

Looks amazing! :D ;)

Content Development / Re: What trains are being planned this year?

May as well jump in here..

Here's the deal, almost all of these routes are being worked on. Just keep in mind that we don't get paid to develop things, and life gets in the way of developing.

Rest assured that sustained development work is ongoing on openBVE routes and trains. Also, I would NOT characterize openBVE as "defunct". There is ongoing development of the simulator happening right now: http://bveworldwide.unlimitedboard.com/t1229p285-new-openbve-build-testers-please

Somebody brought up a point that BVEStation doesn't use social media enough, this is true. I'm going to work on improving our social media presence.

Proof that development is ongoing :D
First, I left the images out of the quote, because why repost?
I, for one, noticed that BVEStation just recently tweeted in late December (yay!), and I (because openBVE died on OS X El Capitan), am even beta-testing(?) a new openBVE version. So I think that a little wait couldn't hurt. (I'm definitely ready for the HQ NTT's ;))

Ok thanks. I tried doing this but so far I haven't found any videos with bilevel door chimes. But I will keep trying. :)
