BVE/OpenBVE Support / The D Line (train traffic)
« on: November 06, 2011, 11:52:56 pm »
First off congrats on one of the best NYC BVE routes I've experienced so far. The textures are great and gives much life to the route. I just have one issue with this line...
Every time I cross the Manhattan bridge I come up behind a train on the Brooklyn side that just sits in front of me in the tunnel. I actually crashed into it last night as it caught me by surprise. I the prepared myself to go slow once I entered the tunnel and the train just would not move. I know I can jump to the next station but that ruins my experience. I always found that tunnel to be very interesting and would like to operate a train through it. So what's the deal with that train?

Okay I downloaded the alternate zip file but it only contains the Route and Sound folders. Where are the objects for this route?

I noticed in the instructions for installation it says to unzip 2 files. But the download was an installer and not a manual method. Is there an alternate download that contains the 2 zip files?

I tried clicking ignore and a lot of textures and objects are missing. It's black where the tracks and scenery should be.

I get an error report of missing files when I launch this line. It seems to be some objects. The first line includes OpenBve\Railway\Object\nyct\Ballast.b3d not found in structure....etc. Would anyone know by this clue what I am missing?

I notice I have to download some dependency files. Like the CtoEuclid.7z. Where does these type of files go? I also got a "Store" file that came with the D line package. Not sure if I put it in the right place. Is there a folder guide that explains what type of files go where?

This is the weirdest install I ever experienced. I'm running on Windows 7. I created a folder to put all the required downloads to get started. I followed directions from following link  http://trainsimframework.org/use/download_windows.html

The exe is in that folder I created. My confusion now is where are the train and route folders for OpenBVE? I did not point anywhere special for install. Where does Open BVE install by default?

Please excuse my ignorance.

I see BVE/Railway/Route/NYCT-A........ I noticed you have OpenBVE/. I do not see that in my program files directory. I see BVE. Did I miss something?

First off, hello community! I'm new here.
After downloading and installing Open BVE I notice the screen to choose the routes and trains.
I downloaded the "A" line that was an installer package. Afterward I opened BVE again to see if the route would show up in the options but do not see it. I do see it in the BVE directory though. I'm just a little confused on how to proceed.

Thanks in advance.
