General BVE/OpenBVE / building another R44 or R44/R46 hybrid

OK people i am seriously considering putting together a photorealistic R44/ R46 hybrid, this will be my own little project and i will release it when it becomes complete. I will be working on it in my spare time so expect it to be coming together in the next 3 or 4 months, no rush........What i do ask is alittle help, I need as many photos of the R44/R46 as possible seeing that i am not in NY, i cant just go get my own, Believe me if I could I would. I need your help to make this happen. If you can send the photos to Tim_franklin@ymail.com  PLEASE NOTHING BUT PHOTOS ONLY. If you do decide to pitch in include where you got it from. for credits. Please remember this is my first train so DONT RUSH ME. but ask as many questions as you would like.

BVE/OpenBVE Support / Important forum issue that needs a resolution

Well I'm not new to the site just the fourms and after about 2 weeks of being here Ive noticed alot of rude stuff going on. i wish i could quote the stuff but i don't think i can and if i could it be too much. Whenever a newbie asks question like "when will R_____ be released?" another member says something like "whenever its finished, you should be patient" or a how to question.   i mean people are asking simple questions and they are getting their heads bit off lol. i could see if this one member was asking the same question over and over. i believe this is a serious issue we should address ASAP. I (as well as other people) am sick of seeing this, We are all BVE fourm members, like the NYCMTA, they treat eachother as family and work together as best as possible. Anybody have anything to add to this i would be grateful to hear it

Need a general input on whats the best IRT route out there (5th generation eye candy) besides the (7) extension as for i cant download it.

BVE/OpenBVE Support / R38 Braking

Should there be a delay in the R38 braking pressure? the R68 doesn't delay at all but the R38 is extremely hard to stop if i wanna run on schedule especially at speeds under 15mph. i expect my 139 freight car consist to delay on MSTS but not BVE. any way of tightening up the brakes to compensate?

General BVE/OpenBVE / R160 and R179 i was on

I'm having trouble figuring out if i was on a R160 or a R179 (ON the F train in Manhattan to Queens) i was sure of i was on a R160 until i saw the BVE R179. This train was brand new inside and out no exaggeration like virgin steel. Idk all about them or how each one rides because i live in the south where people think a subway is only a sandwich and the diesel rules the rails( CSX and Norfolk Southern). Closest subway is 126 miles from me in Atlanta. I moved from NY in 2001 because my sister was killed in the trade center. i visit frequently to visit to see family and the most beautiful pieces of machinery ever built, the NYC subway cars, even the ugly ones. can some tell me if it could have been a R179 or a R160 that they pulled out closet lol.

Can someone explain how to download and install DJ Hammers R38, all im getting is 1 weird file when i download it and if that is it where should i place it? Im using OpenBVE on 86x windows 7
