Title: (WIP) R110A and R110B Thread
Post by: Ztraintobroad on December 21, 2014, 12:08:57 am
So since the beta versions arent good, I have decided along with Openbve 2015 to release new versions of the R110A and R110B. This will feature open able doors, changeable signs, announcements based on route selection, etc.

Screenies!:

I just realized I made a error and accidentally used the R110B interior sign on the R110A as I got confused between the two. Does anyone have/know any videos of how the interior sign of a R110A looks?

Progress:
Inside the Cab, you have to press the Right ALT button in order to bring up the route selection screen. It will go into full window mode, and will show you these 3 options:
Route:
Interval:
Destination: (Will close out the other two options and give you a list of destinations via that line and when you click done will go back to the original screen)
You use your mouse to change the route/interval/destination by clicking on the arrows below or above the options. If for some reason you want to a route like "(5) via 7th Ave" you set the route number THEN click the destination screen. The destination screen will pop up and at the bottom there's a option labeled "VIA". Click on that, and it will bring the Route Via screen. Then select "Via 7th Ave from East 180 to Franklin Ave" and then it will program the route. This new feature is probably coming soon to the R142 and R160.

Fixed door issue.
Fixed issue where the (2) route would get selected and display "Not In Service".
Updated Textures.
Updated Seat arrangement.
Updated Quality of Exterior Signs.

Stay Tuned!

Here is a video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T5PgXjTB120
If you look through his channel, he has several videos of both the R110s. I think he even has a cab video. Hopefully it will help you with the project.

This is the link to nycsubway.org in the 110A and 110B directory. Has info and datasheets as well as interior and exterior photos you could use as reference. I notice that car exterior is not the 110A but a 142/142A.

Thanks for the info! And yes it is a R142 being converted into A R110A. The R110B however is being created from scratch. Stay Tuned for a beta!

Ah, okay. The R110A sign would be like this:

4:27(2) To East 180 Street
4:27(2) The Next Stop Is
4:27(2) Interval Ave

But the thing is maybe ill will release two versions with one having the interior signs above and one having one of the R110B signs. I just tried to program the cab to display (2) on The R110A sign version and I got a Error right away. I guess I need to play around with it more.

I completely eliminated the R142 conversion into a R110A and recreated the whole R110A train inside sketch up. Still haven't added textures yet, but stay tuned!

I have been working non stop on my (4) and (7) and R62, so I apologize if this thread has been quiet lately. I have been working on the R110A cab, trying to make as 3D realistic as possible. I will post a vid/screenshot soon of the exterior as well.
