The Taking of Pelham 123
« on: February 20, 2012, 10:01:24 pm »
I was trolling around youtube and managed to get this. All you have to do is click on the video next to it and watch it in parts if you don't mind. It's a wonderful movie from 1974 and not the one from 2009 which wasn't that bad but what can beat this? Enjoy

Pelham 123 is a ok movie, don't watch the '98 remake that one wasnt even shot in NYC lol.. The whole thing was based on a book if you're interested, I have yet to read that though.

imo Speed is still the better foamer movie :P

Maybe for the bus foamer lol. The 2009 remake wasn't that bad but not as realistic like the classic 1974 movie. I found the book on amazon in two versions. One softcover book with the 2009 cover and a hardcover book with the 74 or 73 cover which is quite more expensive. I wonder if it's the same story in both books.

Both movies are great and you should watch both of them. The plot is essentially the same, but the delivery is different enough, that you won't feel like you're watching the same thing twice. The newer one is more geared to our generation (assuming that you're a teenager) which is a positive thing in my eyes, but some might argue otherwise.

Watch both movies, it's worth it  ;).

In my view, the 1974 version is many times better in quality and accuracy as well.

'74 for accuracy.
'09 for Hollywood bucks.

The book is one of my favorites!  It is much better than the movie (as always).  I recommend it!
