Title: Re: [OpenBVE] NJ Transit Content Development
Post by: mrsam127 on September 20, 2015, 08:41:10 am
I think that so much NJ Transit content is being worked on that we just have to turn this into the NJT thread =P...

[youtube]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xnRTr5UGWQE[/youtube]

Right now the following is being worked on:

Routes:
NEC Shuttle from North Elizabeth to Linden [not a full run; ~9 mins]
NJCL Shuttle from Long Branch to Bay Head [full run on weekends; ~40 minutes]
Morris and Essex Line Runs between Hoboken and Summit [full runs; 16-50 minutes]

Trains:
ALP-46
ALP-46A
ALP-45DP
Multilevel Cars

All trains will include 3D cabs, and POSSIBLY cab signals for their respective routes

Everything is being worked on by myself, Fan Railer, and Manuel. More pics and videos coming soon =)

Just as a quick update, the ALP-45DP has not been worked on yet, but will be soon. As seen in my last post, the ALP-46 has begun detailing and has basic texture work done. The routes have completed scenery, and may be released without major station detailing, that being if I even have enough time to get all three of them out to the public.

As we have expressed many times, and after a recent chat with Manuel, we can confirm that all of the high quality content (non recycled 3D cab, original sounds done by Fan Railer, etc) is being worked on. We know you all want pictures and updates but we really just don't have anything to show that hasn't been shown here. Give Manuel at least a couple months, or even into the beginning of next year, to get to work on this content. Unlike the ACS-64, this is being developed during the school year (not the summer), so he can't just crank out content like a robot and have a release a couple weeks after the project announcement. We're working on everything when we can, and if we feel like we want to. There just isn't enough progress for us to be constantly showing off new content. We seem to have people asking 2-3 times a week about this stuff, and there's no reason to give out updates that often if little to no work has even been done. So everyone can sit back and relax for a little while, and we'll have something soon. In the mean time, look out for other BVE and RW projects, and what's being done there. No matter what, something is always being developed, and progress is being shown.

Great. Just one question. I really want TS2016 and the TS2016 NEC route, but I want to buy other stuff. Do you know where I can get it somewhere else, or do I just have to pay for it?

BVEStation does not support pirated content. You must buy it from Steam legally. Do not ask for torrented versions or illegal copies of games on here in the future please.

There is no way on earth that I am paying $50 for a train game, plus 20 for content! It's f***ing insane! Sorry for being like this, but it is just insane. Very sad. I'd much rather buy a meal at a Yankees game. (Although, lets go mets)

Good idea, actually. I was thinking the other day about making an online business, that way I can get the money to buy them. It will take a while, but it will be worth it. No idea what to do yet.

Hey Sam, I repainted and edited the sounds of the ITEA train that was on the Facebook page. (I made it a Donald Trump theme!!) I was wondering if I could release it on YouTube? Thanks, BVERailer.

Please do not release it on the ITEA Facebook Page, as we do not support political endorsements. You may release it elsewhere.

Make sure you credit Manuel.

We have been asked the same question over and over. You can see why it's getting annoying...

On another note, due to continued drama with this project, I've decided that I'm simply done with it. There will be no releases, preview videos, etc, especially not until Manuel is able to work on the project. At this point I'm not even sure that the remaining routes will be released at all- between the drama and their lack of purpose they're pointless.
