Link removed because an updated R142A will be released soon by the original developer.

(NOTE: The sounds are not original from the release, I only changed propulsion sounds, so do not consider it as the official download link!!!)

Unexpected update on the L:
Since I created myself a new development schedule, I decided to work hard on the L every weekends to have bigger progress,
so here's the progress so far on Rockaway Parkway, nothing visually big yet but it still was a lot of work (pics at the end of post):
-new yard, second part not finished yet,
-new tracks (will be different depending on where the route will take place)
-new X switch (same as the tracks, there was a lot of switching configurations back in the days, so there will be other switches in the 1970s and 1990s versions)
The land, buildings, bushes, fences around Rockaway Parkway and E 105th Street will be all in one or 2 objects, just to have less files. It will be like a huge puzzle basically. Old buildings and dikes will be removed soon.
This is the 2000s version, I wanted to work on the 1990s version first but due to the modern version being simpler I'm working on the 2000s
The Canarsie pack will include:
-1971 LL
-1979 LL
-1985 L
-1990s L
-2000s L (SMEE/NTT)
-2010s L (CBTC)

Just stopping by to say, wow. These look professionally done. You should consider releasing these as objects not just for bve, but as 3D models for other games or commercial use.
I;m still here and this is beautiful work. If you love this then keep on going. I look forward to this release
Thanks a lot guys, the trains will be released in June or July depending on how the development goes.
And I already had a thought about converting the train to other games such as GTA IV, since I worked on a 1970s GTA IV a while ago, but I prefer to stay with bve for now and stick to my huge 1970s NYCTA routes project which can extend to 5 years of work haha

Yeah...
Anyways decided to at least let people know I'm working on the R40M. The late 1970s and 1980s R42 will be worked on when I finish the late 1960s-early 1970s R40M and R40 Slant:

Thank you, I'm glad you are, but I wish more activity would be going on here, when I first logged on BVEStation and started my 1970s routes and Art forums, I kept going on the website every day to expect people supporting me, yes: some people were and still are and I thank them, even some admins were helping me with some issues, but as time went by, still going on the website every week and seeing that it's literally desert, I realized it's saddly not worth anymore. And the worst part is that most of admins were not active since a while, I feel like they don't care anymore.
I know they have jobs and stuff but what happened after the early 2010s that BVE Station became literally desert? Why is nowadays the NYCTA BVE community divided in small groups that hate each other? Maybe I think because of kids breaking copyright rules and stuff and that's probably why content is not being publicly released anymore? I don't know!
Anyways I prefer to stick to the topic because looking at my rating some people disagree or are just mad at me, but I don't care anyways they can keep on rating me down as much as they want, who cares afterall. But that's the sad truth about the community nowadays...

Due to a lot of inactivity on this damn dead website where admins and some developers weren't active since ages, I will probably not post any updates until the full release of the trains, sorry but cannot be asked anymore to make posts if only very few people are often active. I wish it was still like the early 2010s, too bad I didn't join in those times.
Maybe I'll post sometimes but it will be extremely rare, well just like any other forum on this website...
What's the point of keeping this website alive anyways if most of the content are released only on facebook groups or on Youtube, close this website already it's useless, I might sound mad but I don't care because it's the truth.

EDIT: Since people are starting to rate me down, i'll clear this more: for me It's not for the content, because I'm part of a Facebook group as well and I have enough stuff on OpenBVE (folder is 40GB), it's just sad for others and new members of the bve community to not enjoy most of released stuff on Facebook because they expect BVE Station is where most of content is being released which is wrong, don't get me wrong, some people still release stuff on their forums like me (the beta 1973 A Line, and I really respect them for that (the R68/142/A and the 5 line for example), but to me it's mainly the inactivity of this website that bothers me, looking at some old forums, it's back in 2014-2015 that BVE station seemed to be fun... but anyways, I'll still post some of my updates even if I don't really see the point here... Anyways sorry for that particular post but I had to point this out.

Any cab pics?
I was about to post an update about it:

New R40M/42 3D cab, still WIP:

New floor and door textures:

A nice update on the R42 :)
New completely hand coded bonnet... yes, hand coded, no sketchup! and some new interior rollsign that needs to get reworked on later, underbody and door indicators remain and some texture glitches will be fixed; and different car numbers will be added (just like the R32) for the future mixed graffiti/clean, new/old rollsign mid 1970s version consist. Enjoy the pics!

Decided to try the AA, pretty successful on 168th St, no big deal actually, just need to copy all stations from the A and put them on a local C route and change rail indexes and X positioning of some objects.

But I first need to finish detailing from 81 St to Canal St on the A, so I can finish the AA right away and do the extension to Hudson Terminal - WTC, and that will be the first scenario to be completed of all other scenarios of the 1970s 8th Avenue routes.

Do you use SketchUp, photoshop, or some other cad application to create your images,csv,b3d files. Also looking at your profile how is it that you have an interest in NYC subways given that time period you are modeling? I thought you were my contemporary (look at my profile).
I am a NYC Subway fan since I was a kid, after I discovered OpenBVE then downloaded old SMEEs trains, and started to learn the 1970s NYC subway system, I decided to develop 1970s routes by myself since I knew nobody will make some even though there is the 1969 Franklin Shuttle. I don't use sketchup at all, I only use Paint.net for textures, I learned modeling fast by fixing objects and understanding B3D and CSV coding. Yes, I learned a lot in less than a year and already know route building basics, some people learn slowly, some learn fast.
If you look at the first screenshots, you notice that I only did retexturing work, but then realized that I need to learn modeling.
And if you are wondering why I am a Conductor and you a New Recruit giving that I registered on BVE Station 2 years after you, is because here the ranking works on the amount of posts you make (from what I see, I'm not sure), but certainly not by time.

To thank you all for your support on my 1970s route project for OpenBVE, I decided to release a beta/demo of the 1973 A line from 207 St to Euclid Av via 8 Av & Fulton St express.
NOTE: Since it is a BETA, many stations aren't finished (missing stairways, turnstiles and closed exits...) so keep that in mind if you see something completely messed up.

Showcase of the full route authorized on Youtube as long as you put credits.

Modification of the route and objects is prohibited unless it is for your personal preferences and do not REDISTRIBUTE the route,
or unless it is for another project (1930s A line for example), you can of course take this BETA route and objects as a base.

Marker lights: Cab (Yellow) Opposite (Red)
Use 10 Car set consists
You can operate at high speed on CPW and Fulton St!

Object: (Put folder 1972A in Object folder) http://www.mediafire.com/file/z3adm4zcvec9fzj/1972A.rar
Route: (Put folder 1970s 8th Avenue & Rockaway routes in Route folder) http://www.mediafire.com/file/lx74mhd299t9kkd/1970s_8th_Avenue_%26_Rockaway_Routes.rar

That still didnt help i just have an infinite number of grey boxes at the end of the train
You need to edit train.dat file as well. If you made a 5 car set you need to change NumberOfMotorCars from 30 to 15 I believe
