That's one of the videos that I was talking about. Yeah it's pretty bad. That's right before fern rock.

Budd closed here a long time ago. In like the late 70s. They made the Almond Joy M3's on the Market Frankford Line before getting moved to Germany i believe. The B-IVs were made by Kawasaki, and they've been upgraded over time because they never used to squeal like that until 2009-2010You know I was watching some video of the B-4's the other day and noticed that too. Like CTA they have before some turns and especially the tight ones the inner greasing rail to sort of minimize the squeals. It doesn't seem to help those b-4's.
Miami and Baltimore collaborated and got identical cars off the same production run.Don't forget Atlanta too. Also Budd built some of our first stainless steal commuter rail cars for METRA.
Those trucks are more closely related to PCC Trolley trucks than subway car trucks. Very interesting outboard bearing design they have. That's bc the most of our old fleet I-E; 4000,6000,1-50 > (all built in the PCC era) and the 2000 series cars all had interchangeable parts with the PCC trolleys and the 2200 series was no exception. Although it was the last series to have that truck design. That design would prove to be an epic-fail bc they were made with heavier materials,so intern wore down faster.
Seems almost like an IRT version of the R42.
Foam Level: Intersubway
I like the wheels and trucks. The lights remind me of Phillys own B-IV

Built in Philadelphia lolIn the Philly Yard in 1969.LOL.Still you don't think these kind of favor the R40 slant just not slanted and no gates?
SPIDERMAN (R) to 71 Av FOAM!!!You know I almost forgot they used those in spiderman.LOL! Good memory. Well now out of a 300 car fleet, we're down to our last 90. I grew up on these and will be heartbroken when they retire these bc it was trains like these that made our system unique from every other city. They would probably keep them if it wasn't for the blinker doors bc they're not wide enough to meet ADA standards.
And the CTA of course.
Damn I cant wait to drive this. Oh the memories with this on the 7. When the R62a came, I always used to tell my grandpa wait till the red one comes lol.Lol. I used to say the samething about the cta budd 2200 series to my mom or my sister when they would take me on the Dearborn Street subway here in chicago. I'm kind of sad that I didn't get to ride some of you guys classic cars before they scrapped them.
If more people contribute then I can finish it faster......I agree to the fullest but there's not much that I can do 963 miles away from NY. When I move there for good I'll atleast be able to contribute sounds pics and other things. I can't wait to help.
There is a way to do that. You just need to code it in the train and then in the route at every rail gapSee,that's why I wish I knew how to code. If you guys could do that on some of the routes in progress,it would be so awsome.
o yea well i found one in r32 car
Welcome!
One pointer, use paragraph's please. That was such an eye-sore to read.
Welcome to BVEStation.
Yes please separate your paragraph for the sake of us to be able to read!
yea I thought about that when i woke up this morning. Don't worry guys I'll fix it. Thanks for the advice and the modify optn.lolThat should be a little better guys and thanks again. I know I may seem a little long winded but I felt that everyone in the BVE community should really know who I am, what kind of person I am, and what I stand for. That way ppl can understand me better. Also remember that's why they call this the windy city, says the history books.lol
