You can change the rain refresh rate by modifying the rain.animated file.

Railway\Object\Crosstown\rainobj\rain.animated is the location.  Where it says RefreshRate =
Code: [Select]
[Object]
States = rain3.b3d, rain2.b3d, rain3.b3d
StateFunction = mod[value + 1, 3]
RefreshRate = 0.1

Make that number smaller.  Do use it with caution though, as my computer crashed when I set it too quickly, or its just my laptop (most likely my laptop).

If SIR grants me permission then I will work on a R160 version.  I have heard his announcements however, and there were some issues with it.  I believe that train was terminating at Coney Island and not Smith-9th which would make it less likely for me to use it, unless I made more modifications to it.  The announcements issue will be fixed on the next major update then, which will be who knows when.

I would suggest twitter for your updates and using this forum for your major updates.  People cant be satisfied if they cant see anything that is interesting or do not understand what this whole shebang is.

I have no idea how this is relevant.

Maybe even some coding examples would be better.

Yep I changed the adhesion.

I'd have to change the textures for the rails  :P

There is rain sound.  Unless your train is drowning the sound out ::)

Thanks for the comments, glad you guys like it  :D

Hey everyone, 7zip formats are finally online for our cross-platform users.  You can now download and extract the files instead of needing a Windows based PC to extract the files.  The 7zip formats are also smaller in size due to 7zip's high compression, so if your internet is slow today, you can use the 7zip format.

The Southbound G route has also been updated.  The installer has been replaced with the new nullsoft installer.  The Southbound G also gets a 7zip format for cross platform users.  There are a number of fixes and addition to this update.  Updates include new CSV route files with signals, route file error fixes, transparency issue fixes, the error at Metropolitan Avenue with the platform on the wrong side.  There is a route for all BVE 2/4/Open users.  BVE 2 users get the signal fix with CSV.  BVE 4/OpenBVE in addition to the signal fix get brightness commands.  OpenBVE gets a weather update.  Unlike our other updates, this is probably an update that you want to get even if your files are working.

Enjoy the updates!

Thanks for the video Pencilcase, the R shuttle of yours is up, and 4 Express's Y Line.  In case you guys forgot you can submit screenshots to the downloads without needing to ask me.  Just make sure your logged in and visit this page, http://www.bvestation.com/gallery.php. Pick your screenshot, then select the route/train your screenshot represents, type a description and title and upload.

Station Talk / Re: Quoting Suggestion

I don't quite understand what your asking.  Cant you just answer them like

@B: this is a response to your question
@C: this is a response to your question
@D: this is a response to your question

Then the readers can easily see which part of your post is theirs.

Many experienced forum users do this, so I dont see how this is something to be expected.  If you want to multiquote, just quote the last message, we dont need to be seeing the first post 10 times in a nested quoting quote.

475
No and I dont know whether or not it is difficult to achieve.

Copyright issues will always get in the way if you want to convert a Trainz train to BVE.

If anybody knows Tony C. 's contact, I might be able to get the M3 here.

Other Projects / LIRR Atlantic Avenue Branch the sequel to LIRR Main Line

The sequel to the LIRR Main Line demo route as featured by bill (to test his R160 Alstom) from Kew Gardens to Forest Hills
The R160 Alstom for OpenBVE

Announcing the LIRR Atlantic Avenue Branch.

This route will run from Atlantic Terminal to Jamaica.  I don't know what generation this route will be, you guys can decide.  As for accuracy, I'm doing the route based on photos, and videos that I've seen.  I'm also using Google Maps, and of course I've rode the route once, but its probably not enough for me to just memorize the whole ride, but might help me in terms of the feel lol :P  So dont kill me if its not accurate.  It'll be more accurate than my LIRR Main Line, but less accurate than the R.

This is just a side project for me, for fun, but I'll definitely try to make this a release.  If anybody has sounds, or photos and wants to help, I'll be more than happy to use them!

Enjoy!  :D

I took a stroll on this route, and I'd say its really nice.  There's plenty to see while still having that openness of the countryside.  :D
