I suggest you take ray's suggestion and just texture the sides.  They'll be a bit more flat, but it will be million times easier to make.

Just to let everyone know, that the screenshots are Google Sketchup models, NOT BVE models.

There are also several tutorials available on the BVEStation Homepage, on the top bar, where it says develop.

http://www.bvestation.com/devzone.php

There are many object building tutorials listed there in addition to some newer ones written from our friends across the pond.  I suggest you take a look.

Yeah I also noticed that in the rain version that the tracks after Smith-9th Streets are weird right before the switch to the layup track.

Also in the rain version, could the Oskari's rain function be used in the route so that trains with windshield wipers could actually wipe away raindrops that appear on the windshield? Look at the East London Line Route with rain and the A Stock to see what I mean.

If your talking about the switches after Smith-9th Street and before 4th Avenue, then yes those switches are actually not done.  Which is why the train does not terminate at 4th Avenue.  What you are looking at is not meant to be seen by you guys so this is not a problem at all.  4th Avenue was never completed , so the route was never coded to terminate at the layup.

Consider that a bonus, and a preview of how 4th Avenue will eventually look like.  I'm quite confused on how it took you guys so long to find out that those switches aren't done.

Though since its actually departing Coney Island there may not be that much to do.  What I can tell you guys is that the next phase of the F will be from Avenue X and not Coney Island, unless Coney Island somehow slips into the stream.  We do in fact have an object for Coney Island though.

I'm never updating the site to Flash, nor will I ever.  I am highly against using flash on any of my websites...  Especially since I have an iPod Touch, and I see no need for it.  We aren't some hippie design studio looking to show off their work in some flashy animation.

Not possible, we are breaking the laws if we do that, and we'll close down tomorrow if we take that off.

Fun is what made us upgrade the forum.  People were having a bit too much fun if you ask me.

Personal MP servers, the average user will run into more problems compared to if they were using the central server.  I dont have the time to maintain an old unstable piece of code, let alone provide support for it.  So to make it easier for everyone, I've chose to use the centralized server system.  Hopefully Boss of Games will provide a player operated server, but that doesn't seem to be the case, if you want to run personal servers so your all out of luck  ;)  Bug him not me, I've made my decision.  Its easier for me in terms of running a centralized server, and its easier for the users to just click a few times to connect compared to forwarding ports, opening up firewall, and other daunting tasks a 13 year old would have no clue on how to do.

Auto-censoring is already enabled.

Are you talking about the switches near 4th Avenue?

Welcome back Josh, hope things have been working out for you   ;)

If I do get the R160 in, then that will be the 10 car version, since there are no 4 or 5 car sets that have ran on the G.

Good Luck!  Since your doing this scale of a route, just work little by little and employ visual tricks, you may need lots of that. ::)

Actually its possible with a little cheating, as nobody can see how obvious the solution is.  But since I do not have Trainz, and I'm certain there will be copyright issues, and just overall outcry of converting trains from Trainz to BVE, (cause its just unnatural) I dont think I want that to happen.  If somebody knows this little cheat and wants to do it, with all the green lights for permissions and everything, then be my guest I'd love to see something like that.

Anyway this topic is about the LIRR Atlantic Avenue Branch route, and just the route.  I'll figure out what train will be on this route when its done, which wont be anytime soon.  Not the M3, not the M7, not Trainz, not converting trains.  So now that we wasted a page of topic off topic, lets get back on topic, otherwise I'll start moderating.
