There are some sounds, Like the break release sounds that are specific to the train. I will be doing sound updates, if able.

You are lucky. One of the features of UBVE is the switching track feature. I am completely overhauling the rendering engine.

There is some computability issues with the train plugins ATM. The R38 by DJ is giving very poor performance. You cannot even control the train properly. The only cpu that can run the thing is my desktop.

Well. I have scrapped almost the whole project with a complete new plan. Plugin loading is out of the picture for now. Right now I am completely rebuilding the rendering engine. I am preparing the engine for new lighting and texturing to make it faster. This will also mean that there will need to be new system requirements. I have also started working on the train loading system. New features will be available for developers. Like placing light sources from the game engine directly onto the train for more realism. And due to the new light source, you will not be able to see that well into the tunnel. I will also include reflective sources. In the real world, On the top of rails, some light reflects at you. You should now be able to make a reflective surface to increase realism. New incline features will allow for a smoother inclines and transitions of grade in rail. This will take some time to implement. Redoing the Rendering engine is no easy task.

Other Projects / The R44 Pre GOH
« on: March 30, 2011, 08:36:19 am »
Hello Everyone. i am making the R44 for OpenBVE, and as a concept train for UBVE for major demonstration purposes on the new train loading system.

Features

Full 3D Cab
Exterior and Interior
Using Trevor's Original Sounds (With Permission)

Ultimate BVE Custom Features

Consonants (MSTS)

I need accurate cab photos as well.
Full Headlight system. (Lights up the walls around you)
Tunnel Lighting. (Needs Route Developers)

I am hoping that i can create the full version of the custom train along with he UBVE extras. I need Cab Photos of the Pre GOH controller

Sure. We can release them as a pack ;D. I would love to work with you. The feature of mine is that it will be the first train to have a 3D cab  8)
There are other trains with 3d cabs already out there just to let you know.

You want to use Trevor Logans Sound O_o
Dennis, I'm pretty sure if he wanted to, he wouldn't be stupid enough to do so without permission.

Yea. I forgot to add the first NYCTBA train to have a 3d cab. I can imagine running that train down the A. I have never stepped into any subway car in NYC. So it will be hard for a start. All i need is detailed pictures and some time and i will work my magic.

A little off topic.

For my train. I will implement a "special" UBVE Touch like legit headlights that will directly influence the new graphics engine. But i don't want any comments on this. LOL

Well... I have on file. The original, unmodified version of the R-44. I want to use the motors and other stuff and then use some of the other hardware.

It was taken down like many other trains due to modifications by the community.I'm unsure if people released a modified version of that persons train but it was taken down.Creator is Trevor L he made the R-29,44,160 #8713,M3 and M-7(please corect me or add anything if I am wrong or missed anything).
If you have the original files you have the train so if anything contact the author about your plans if you will use that stuff. You can reach him on his site ttmg.org or NYCTF his user is Vintage Soul I believe. And good luck with the R-44 Pre-GOH project maybe we can work together since I'm making the R-46 Pre-GOH.

I was wondering what happened to the R44 on the downloads section. The A route that used it needed to be changed. Was it due to a copyright issue, or others. I have the original files and i am wanting to make a Pre-GOH R44 with exterior view and 3d cab. I want to know of anything because of any issues for copyright and such. I would like to know from the original author if I can have permission to use a few sounds and some physics for my project.

I would like to know if it is possiable to add new rollsigns to the animated ones in the new R38? I would like to replace a few missing destinatins. I wish every openBVE train had these rollsigns.

Some questions however for BOG, what exactly are you working on?  Are you working on a plugin system, multiplayer system or both?  And if both which one are you doing first?  Since a very small percentage of us are actually programmers, what exactly can we do with your new BVE that we cant already do in OpenBVE/BVE?  How is this system different from the other train sims already existing?

I am working on many things. It is a combination of a Multiplayer system to demonstrate the power of my new plugin system for UBVE. The Multiplayer system will not be built in, but in a module that will be able to access the core layer like the old ME has never done. Since it is a new plugin system, the end user has some benefits. I am in the process of making the API more understandable by class summaries and hopefully a well documented SDK. The future outlook will bring multi-track routes with switches a reality.

You Doubt me Now!  ;D

I was debugging on my Mac OS X cpu at the time with MonoDevelop. After that i closed the main menu and there it was. Now for some more positioning and modifications, and i should be set.

How would you know a program would work without seeing it done on the screen?  I've taken my fair share of computer programming classes at my college and there is no way that a code that is made can show only within the codes.  Even a command prompt program will indeed show in the command prompt window itself.

If you can't even create a single screen-shot of what the "code" produces then wow, I need to re-evaluate the classes I'm taking because obviously they aren't teaching me shit.

I am still hard at work. Wait for sat on bvestation chat, or teamspeak. On top of that,  i cannot show you what I am codimg on cprompt because it is not console based.
