Title: The R197 (IRT) Official Development Thread W.I.P

The R197 is a IRT Division Car inspired from the R110A, R142, and R142A train sets. This train is being made by Mikeawaski, and will come in 5 car sets, 10 car sets, and 11 car sets. This train will feature CBTC, 3D Doors, announcement system, 3D Cab, etc.

What do you use to make exteriors and is it free?

Yes, its called sketchup.

I tried to make  train and It came out crap. Is there any where that is easier to make an exterior for a train besides MS paint?
