This train has been released!
Download Link: http://www.bvestation.com/downloadinfo.php?id=86 (http://www.bvestation.com/downloadinfo.php?id=86)
Although Im not officially working on any New tech ,Including the R160 ,[i have my hands full already :P], I just wanted to show you guys something ive been working on for a while now . Although its not fully finished , i wanted to give you guys a preview to what you might see in the next update for the R160 :
I also have a r143 Deviation of this panel so i should upload that in a little while .
Hope you enjoy this little preview
Also keep in Mind this is the first public preview of the cab and its in no way finished .
-
Yeah just a small word of advice the number of the train is not an R160 thats an R143 but its a nice panel though. . .
-
this is great, but the right side of the cab window needs to be slanted left instead of right lol

yup just noticed . i originally created an r143 panel and then tweaked it to become a r160. Dont worry ima take care of that in the final version 8)
-
Cool I dig that you always seem to come though with the Panels. . . yours are by far the most realistic.
-
I was gonna hold out on posting any more pics , but i figured ehh what the hell :

Shows the early stages of the new cab in action , this is before the animation of the speedometer .
Also the cab hasnt been positioned properly so it will be updated .
-
Great job with the photorealistic panel Mr. Railfan!
I wish I could get a chance to get some cab shots for stuff like this.... :)
-
The panels you have for your trains are great! Though you should have a panel for the R46. I think that Error needs one for it.

Ive tried countless times to get into a 46 cab to take photos but the damn TO's are just a bunch of dicks on the A and wont let me take pics of the cab when i ask .
-
At least you can have the chance to ask T/Os for cab pics lol... :P
I rarely get a chance to get in to the city to get textures and information because i live up north in Westchester (pamperland). Between school, DI, stage crew, robotics, and OVER 9000 other things I don't really have much time. That is why most of my BVE development gets done over the summer.

yo im a nycta motorman for the J line,if you want cab shots for any train i can get it for you ;)

Just for the J? I thought each motorman job was for every line.

true, but like 3 times a week im ususally on the J

The Train Operator is generally assigned to a line. After a few years of experience he/she has more leg room to choose which line/division they would like to operate on.

Exactly my point, thanks for dumbing it down ;D lmao
-
Nice, but 8280 is an R143 not an R160 lol

Just thought you might need to see this... lol

i think the whole thing should be shifted a little bit to the left..

Well since you're trying to do a photocab as well as Bill, might as well post some pics here to help you out. These are just some. Bill has the rest I've sent him.

And here's a TOD Screen I did if anyone wants to use it for BVE use...
Hope these could help.. somehow!

I see that the left screen in the second pic is blacked out. Just out of curiosity, is it blacked out because it contains info that can't be seen by the public?

Nah not really. The screen was already blank, I just blanked it out for other reasons.

Thank you very much for these pictures . This IS the photo cab that is planed to be used in bill's 160 so thanks again for the photos , i could definitely use em to update some textures .

Don't we need one for the Siemens Propulsion also.

Don't we need one for the Siemens Propulsion also.
I believe theres a version out made by Bill and he made a new thread recently so stay tuned...
-
Again, thank you dave for your generosity for providing those photos to us.
As for the Siemens yes there will be one coming out soon, so stay tuned.
-
They look very nice! And with the depth of the shots you took, is there a possibility for a 3D cab to be implemented?
-
whr is the throttle?
-
whr is the throttle?
It's not visible in those pics but it's on the right and side(not on the panel) same as 143 the Master Controller is on the far right.
-
on the R143/R160s the controller is all the way on the right as he stated. i don't think it would be visible to the t/o looking straight ahead therefore we won't be including it unless if we do a 360 3-D cab.
-
These projects are really coming in nice.

I think that's only on the 160's though, I believe the 143 and 142s have identical controllers
-
The R143/160 have the same stick on the far right side whereas the R142 has in directly in the control panel infront of the motorman and its usually on the right side.
-

Nah its directly in the middle, so its easier for T/O's to switch hands instead of reaching over.Just the 143/160 as stated has the Master Controller on the far right which if off the panel.
-
I know that's kinda what I mean lol :o sorry for the confusion because I usually get to look into the motorman's cabin at Dyre avenue because its always exposed or they just leave the door open sometimes. ;D
-
omg, can you be my mentor?
-
Looking good Mr. Railfan.

Looks quite good, Mr. Railfan

i wanted to post the progress of the Train . The Cab is now fully 5th generation and supports 5th generation routes such as the new A line [Please note this is not jayjay's A route but the signaling and announcements will be incorporated into his].
If you like the Video feel free to subscribe on youtube for more updates coming soon.

That was a very good presentation & I am guessing that release will be for only open BVE users. Hopefully that will be available for people using older versions of BVE who cannot support the newer versions due to processors. I may be the only one on this forum using a Pentium 3 PC to operate BVE2, but hopefully one day I will get a faster processor to support the newer versions of bve just hope this great site bvestation is still alive which I hope will be alive for many generations to come.

The train will be For OpenBVE because i canot run Bve 2 and 4 and test it . Plus im not sure if BVE 4 can run the features implemented in the Cab and even if it can i cant test it Like i said before. Im 100% sure the train cant be run in BVE 2 . the route that i showed isnt Bve 2 and 4 compatible because of the animated timers. The darkness and lightness in tunnels can be implemented in Bve 4 but not 2 . So your going to have to upgrade your hardware. The community is advancing and its getting harder and harder to keep backdating current releases to bve 2 and 4.
-
To me it wouldnt matter if the lighting doesnt work. I'd still run it and it would be cool. you dont have to make a BVE2 version. its your train.

I will try to make or have made a BVE 2 version of all my projects including the R160, however that will have to wait a while after the OpenBVE version is released since the entire thing would have to be re-done due to many coding incompatibilities.
-
which r160 version is it going to be released with
-
hey Mr.Railfan, it looks like your R160 is completed based on your videos...do u plan on releasing it soon?...just wondering
-
A quick question, will there also be a version with Siemens propulsion too? Also, I remember you saying on YouTube that this panel has a visible pressure gauge at the top of the panel, could you please post a screenshot of that? I just want to see how it looks like ;D
-
Question r u going to do a R46 cab
-
i cant wait for this train to come out
-
Also a vid on the E train
-
Are you going to do a R160 Siemens Panel
-
Are you going to do a R160 Siemens Panel
They're the same except for the letters that say Alstom or Kawasaki Siemens

Will it be a Alston or Siemens? Or, will you be able to change the sounds from Alston to Siemens or Siemens to Alstom?
-
Kind of a dead thread... Plus already released as Alstom...
-
and Bombardier and Siemens
