We'll finish the (5) with the Nereid Av-bound set by the end of the week (maybe).

Well, so much for "end of the week". :P

Anyways, the files are linked below.

The (N) to Astoria will be next since the route is being created for BVE. Before that, though, I'm gonna update the files we have so far and turn up the volume on all of them.

Well actually, regular members shouldn't be allowed to create new posts in that section.  Only authorized non-fictional projects are placed there.  Otherwise, unofficial non-fictional routes do in fact belong here.

Still, I wonder why I see so many of you guys calling it an official thread, when its not really official.  Sure its official for you guys anyway, so we'll allow that in that case.  If your going to make all your updates on that topic, then it can count as official.  If you are like some people though, calling it an official thread and then making more updates elsewhere, or just have a straight out link, you better not call it official...

Anyway I think its better if you guys stop "officializing" your routes, it makes the post section look a bit cluttered.  Thanks.

Can't you (or another mod/admin) just edit the thread title or something?

Well, that's a bit disconcerting. And I doubt anyone here is going to go through all the trouble of converting every single object for BVE4 standards just so they'll be convertible to the BVE5 format. I guess we'll be sticking with BVE2/openBVE for a while longer because I also can't see too many people coding routes/objects/trains in an entirely different format than the one they're used to and have been using for the past few years.

Here are the local announcements for the (5) to Dyre Av. A note on the files: there are two versions of departing announcements included in the folders because different announcement programs on the trains use different announcements. Trains coming from Brooklyn will play the "Eastchester-Dyre Av-bound (5) local" announcement (labeled as [FL] for Flatbush Av in the enclosed folders), while trains coming from Bowling Green play the "Eastchester-bound (5) local" one (labeled as [BG] for Bowling Green).

LAWL!

Now i decided to set an A Division fail here!

I have a picture of an absolutely lost R142 (2) Train that seems to have ended up on the Nassau Street line!

You need to go to an image-sharing site like Photobucket or ImageShack and upload your pics there. After that, copy the image link (the one with the [IMG] tags) and paste it here.

@Fox-179: Thanks. I'll get around to using those when I (eventually) start doing reroute announcements.

Now, back to the (5). Here are the announcements for the Dyre Av-bound (5) express.

Both versions of the local should be done within the next few days or so.

At 126 stations total, your route easily holds the record for most stops on a BVE route. :P

In all seriousness though, you might want to split this route somewhere because I can't see too many people spending all day running this route from end to end, especially if it's a full local route. Right now, this route is set to be more than twice as long as the (2) or (A) local lines. Mind you, I'm not trying to discourage you or any other route builders or their creativity. This line is just a bit too long in my opinion to be an enjoyable route.

I am making announcment that northbound N line is in development by ARome and BVEstation Staff (inculding BStyles).

And with that announcement, every non-fictional route is either under development or has been released. Awesome. ;D Can't wait.

I finally got around to stitching together the announcements for the normal (5) route. Unfortunately, due to the multiple terminals and routes in the Bronx, the links below only contain the Brooklyn and Manhattan announcements. I'll upload the Bronx ones sometime in the next few days.

Enjoy. :)

I know I'm not a moderator or admin, but this needs to be said...

All of you guys need to shut the hell up about this crap. So, someone "stole" the template for your .gifs. Who gives a shit?! I understand intellectual properties and all that crap, but really, why are you guys whining about something that probably took you less than ten minutes to make. From what I've gathered over my time spent here, most of you guys here are teenagers and young adults. How about you all start acting like you're young adults and not a bunch of spoiled babies who got their favorite toy taken away.

I was contemplating releasing templates for the LED signs, but you guys are really starting to annoy me with all this stupid shit.

You guys have heard the (4) via Eastern Pkwy Lcl in quite a few videos. But where's the (3)? Well, look no further because, thanks to a few lucky YouTubers, we now have the (3) from 135 St, Manhattan through New Lots Av, Brooklyn.

First off, I know pitor160 PMed me about an R143 strip map a while ago and to be quite honest, I forgot about it until I saw SIR's post. I apologize for that.

Now that that's out of the way, I've got around to making one. I know it's not exactly like the ones on the real R143s, but I've never been on that particular train type and you wouldn't believe how hard it is to find decent pics of the strip maps on the net. Also, I don't know if you wanted a .png file or a .bmp one so did both.

You're welcome.

Damn, this small post box thing is annoying. [/off topic]

Did you place the sound files exactly where I specified earlier in this thread? If they aren't in this location:
Code: [Select]
...\BVE\Railway\Sound\NYCTA\Forest Hills-bound V\the sounds won't play. That's how I recoded the route file so that all the automated announcements are in one location and not all over the place within the "Sound" folder.

I just ran the route on my computer and the sounds play just fine. They are a tad low though and I'll fix that issue eventually.
