Download the J/Z line Public BETA here:
LINK (http://openbveconnect.com//index.php?action=downloads;sa=view;down=62)
Note that the route is not finished. Further development is being done on the route.
Here is the official Thread of NYCTA BMT Routes. This includes the J, M, Z, Q, B, R, D, and N lines.
The J and Z lines have been development for 5 years (2 years by some guy that knows joe and 3 by me)
This line could've been finished but i was busy with F line and Joe was busy as well with other things
Here are some pictures of the J/Z line so far:

Just wondering, but will the (J) shuttle (From Essex st - Prospect park) be released with this?
-
Flushing Av looks good. Was just over there the other day. The view of Woodhull from the J train coming into Flushing Av, wow.
-
Great work, and looking nice so far. .
-
Nice
-
Way to go! I can't wait for this route to come out! Is it gonna be for all BVEs?
-
Awfully excited for this! (Is this the full line to Broad Street, or just to Chambers?)
-
Awfully excited for this! (Is this the full line to Broad Street, or just to Chambers?)
I believe Broad Street. When this route is completed maybe JayJay can get a G.O (J) train To Prospect Park via the (R) and (Q) line but he'll have to code the more and he can copy and paste the (Q) from Atlantic and change the distances.Just a thought from me. :D
-
Excellent work JayJay... 8)

yes the (J) is gonna be release with the Z.
yes it's going Broad Street the full route (morning rush).
i need permission from joe to change that background sky.
their is a skeleton that have distance between stations Broad St to Dekalb Av then to prospect park.
This line is about 90% done (the Z anyway).
-
hey jayjay great work on the stations and the (m) static trains should be on the local track just like in the morning rush.will it automaticaly switch tracks when entering myrtle bway?
-
wow,90% done?? that was quick! ;)

Wow thanks for the info! And HELL YEA! A skeleton, people we may just have a (J) To Prospect Park as an add-on when the Original is done!
-
wow,90% done?? that was quick! ;)
It's been worked on for the past few years there just haven't been updates so the developer won't get bugged and people worrying about what happened to this and that. It's kind of like what Joe aka Phantom909 is doing/does and did.
-
lol yeah the "waterfall" method of developing always sucks until release. XD
-
wow,90% done?? that was quick! ;)
this line been worked on for 5 years.
i am gonna need joe assistance for this line.
(it's not simple like the B,F and Q lines)

What do you need? Walls or anything station data for object placing?
-
i can get announcements for the J ;)
-
im actually curious just to see how the broadway junction area is gonna turn out. Also, is that extenstion u did( to valley stream) gonna be part of it?
-
I would also like to extend what shiwund said, but different. Is B'way Junction going to include ENY yard with all of them trains out there, very curious. But it would be nice if there was a nyc route with a yard full of them
-
Is the J gonna be along with this?
And does any one know whos working on the old or new (M)
Congratulations its a already beautiful route and one of my Home Routes Just like the (L)
Great Work

yea
and i think ConeyIslandDFNQ is making the M via 6th ave here's the thread (http://forums.bvestation.com/index.php?topic=119.0)
But since the V and M are similar via Queens Blvd lcl you can swap the announcements to make it more realistic. (just like a preview for the M) Click me! (http://forums.bvestation.com/index.php?topic=202.msg1674#msg1682) ;)
-
actually,i did the same thing and it was more realistic ;)
-
Great work JayJay!
-
From the shot's I've seen before, I can say that this would've been the most advanced route out if it was released 5 years ago. I actually doubt it really needs photo textures. Nice job JayJay
-
hello guys this line would be delay (development has been temporary stopped) for about 3 months due to me doing culver shuttle and helping other BVEstation members to finished their real routes.
Locked this Thread for until about May 2011

Sorry for the lack of updates, I have been working on revising the Brighton line for some bugs that people reported. The newest update [version 8] (should be released this week) will go to Coney Island, thanks to the excellent coding and extension of the route from Brighton Beach - done by JayJay85, and will feature:
- Bug fixes reported from the last release
- Updated Scenarios
- Punchboxes!
- Moving AI trains
Here's some screenshots from the latest build:
Punchbox at Prospect park
(http://i.imgur.com/ndCPfhI.jpg)
Approaching Kings Highway (New Station house hanging overhead)
Punchboxes at Kings Highway:
All of this will be in version 8.
Version 9, well, is a different story. I will be working very hard and rebuilding the Brighton portion from the Ground up, with brand new building objects that are similar to what they are in real life, weather scenarios and a bunch of other goodies. After that is done, I will pass the route to JayJay85 and he will work on creating a Brighton Local version. So stay tuned for more updates regarding Version 9.
-
what a puchbox and this route look hot
-
what a puchbox and this route look hot
A punchbox is a device at some stations (stations just before a point where routes diverge, or a point where one route goes express and the other goes local) that train operators use to tell the dispatcher which route they are driving, so the dispatcher can correctly switch the tracks for them.
BTW, the route looks gorgeous!
-
so we can use tat in this route and that hot
-
so we can use tat in this route and that hot
Well you can't really use it because there is no mechanism to switch tracks in game. It does represent the location that you actually have to "punch" for to get a line up in real life. This is why you have to be careful not to overrun, or you will not be able to "Punch" for a line up.
-
alright good to know thanks
-
heres my question
is it going to have a scenario where it goes via the 63 st connection to the broadway line
-
Looks absolutely fantastic Mr Railfan... nice work!

I can't wait until this update!!!! Maybe Mudwrestle will want to update his R160 FIND Q to Coney Island when this comes out. Really can not wait!!!
-
heres my question
is it going to have a scenario where it goes via the 63 st connection to the broadway line
Sort of. I'm working on a scenario that runs from 96 Street-2 av to Coney Island via Lex-63 St and Broadway. So it touches the 63 st tunnel. No promises on a 21 St queensbridge to Coney Island via B'way yet.
-
holy shit, i was just at coney island this weekend and looking at the pics you took of openbve, looks SO FUCKING REALISTIC, good FUKING job deadass :-)

That would be JayJay's work, he put the station together and BStyles created the phenomenal roof object for the station. I just fixed the position of some station objects to make it a bit more realistic. In version 9 i would like to replace all textures with High quality ones and add more objects (TV's, Station direction boards, etc.).
On another note, i'm hoping for a Friday night release this week (for version 8 ). I might require some Beta testers for pre release checking so please PM me if you are interested.
-
Btw idk if anybody ask this or not but is this going local to Coney Island or will the local version be in version 9?

That's in version 9. This will run via Brighton Express.

The route will be released on Friday. Beta testers would receive a PM link tonight.

This route is looking so amazin Mr.Railfan. Keep up the amazing work. PS Are you going to make a Q via the R line? The reason why i am asking was that, i was on the Q train and somehow there was broken track at Dekalb Av, so the Q train was switch over to the R Line all the way up to Canal St then it was switch back to the express track at Canal St. :) :D ;D

That would require rebuilding the entire route south of canal, so that would be very hard to do. Maybe in some future release we would have it.
On another note, i have sent out BETA test files to those who requested it, so check your inbox's.
-
I think he meant Broadway Local from 57th Street to Canal, but it would still require heavy recoding...
-
As of right now i have to delay the release by a day or two. I'm having difficulties with the static moving AI trains. Once that's resolved i can start the very lengthy process of splitting the base file up for scenarios that will be included with release. After that's done i have to test every file - which itself is a lengthy process. So all of this is simply impossible to get done tonight. I will post a follow up update soon.
-
thanks for the update, cant wait for this route!
-
:( nut take ur time with it it look azmaing
-
I apologize for the lack of updates. I have currently released another internal beta and the results have been sufficient. I have a few more bugs to fix, but overall, the route is almost ready for release. Expect an update tomorrow night, if not the release of the route. Stay tuned!

Thanks for the update. just to let you know, I have been checking the downloads page for this update for the past few days.
-
I'd rather a route with few bugs or no bugs at all than a route that will cause errors. Take your time as this is the route update that I am most looking foward to.
-
Looking good so far. Yeah I agree you should take your time even though I'm eager to drive this route. I know how the creative process actually have a life of its own. What train is that in the screen shots? I like the cab.

The SMEE train used in the screenshots is the R68 in the downloads section.

how do you become a beta tester?
-
The reason the Q has been delayed for so long:
I've been trying to add in all the signs and punchboxes that are along the real route into the BVE counterpart.

awesome! this version will have the moving AI Trains right? and is this the full route?
-
awesome! this version will have the moving AI Trains right? and is this the full route?
Yes, moving AI and it goes all the way to Coney Island. Only thing is that it runs Express via Brighton.
-
Im looking forward to the local version, anyway keep up the good work Mr.Railfan ;)
-
Do you know when this will be released?
-
Do you know when this will be released?
Nope.
I was planing for a release two weeks ago, but its simply not ready. I have a lot of work to do on the line and have to test everything before i release it. After the last release with all the bugs, i am not going to release something that i have not thoroughly tested. You also have to realize that i'm not getting payed for this and am working on my free time. I also have classes, homework and Exams coming up so i have my priorities on other things. All i can ask is just be patient. When it's ready for a release, i will make a post.
-
do you still need beta testers?
-

I might do one more Beta test before release. I'll post here if i need some testers.

Latest update:
I'm replacing textures on the 6th ave scenarios so it looks bit more modern:
42 street: new walls (old one was very pixelated and blurry) ,new overhead sign (The old one still mentioned the V in service!)

34 street:

I have also begun work on the SMEE (manual announcements) scenarios, which might take a while to finish.
-
Holy crap dude, more realistic=always good. Cant wait, post more pics when you can.
-
Great work Mr. Railfan!!!!! The more time and patience everyone has, the better is the route!!!
-
Nice going Mr Railfan 8)

And at B'way Lafayette the note in top right hand black blox said the W was in service.

All of those signs have been completely redone with correct information pertaining to the transfers at the station.
For example:
Starting at Astoria shows the correct destination of where the train is bound for:

In station transfers now show accurate info, along with varying between different scenario options such as Weekend, Rush hour etc.

good job on the Q

the sparks to simulate the switching of a track

Sweeet design its loooking super astounding realistic sexy amazing lol cant wait for the completion but so far so good . Idk if its been asked, but when this gets implemented with the coney island station be able to get implemented into the last portion of the D line (Version 2) ?
-
This is very masterful work... Objects should be an overall update for all trains terminating at Coney Island. A one patch fixes all kind of deal if possible. Cant wait for the release.
-
Thanks guys, many of the texture upgrades have been made to the "Lisaraye2" Object folder, which is shared among many lines.
Also, no update on the D extension to CI yet, but there are talks and plans of extending the N south of 59 street. More on this will be announced later.
On a separate issue: i will have a special few preview screenshots in the next few days showing some changes i made to the line.

A small update:
I have been working really hard on introducing new signaling that is unique to the NYC Subway. Here's a small preview of the BMT/IND Signalling textures:

These will be included with the Q v8. I will have a in detail preview of the Q Line (V8) very soon, so stay tuned.

Since these are in a shared object folder, they will replace the old signaling that you have.

I can help make these even more accurate, by making real signal plates, PM me if you want.

I actually removed the signal plates because it would take months to accurately create every single Signal plate for Broadway, 6th Av, West End, 4th Av, Sea Beach and Brighton and then put them all into signals.

Oh ok just thought it maight be cool cause of how BVE 2 told you the signal name and upcoming aspect, maybe we could use that data to make signal plates, then this would be the ultimate route in terms of accuracy.

BVE2 used the coding of the signals that was already included within the route if i recall. For OpenBVE to have it, we would have to create the pictures of all the signal info and then manually code that into every signal into the route. I am simple not going to create a thousand pictures and indexes for the signals and then waste even more time putting all of that into every signal within 100 route scenarios. Remember i don't get paid to do this and am not wasting a couple of weeks of my life to create something as minuscule as that.
-
Oh well, no matter, this route looks nice enough as is. Can't wait for the release.

Yea sorry, maybe if i have time after the release i can work on something like that, but it's a colossal project to take on.

any new pics? :D
-
Derp :P
-
any new pics? :D
soon, I want to get a few more thing added in and i will then do an extensive preview of the line.

cant wait! :)

I hope we have an Fourth of July Firework Release of the Q 8.0
-
that would be awesome! or a nice video of the moving AI trains and such.
-
that would be a good present
-
Not sure if i'll make July 4th, but im pushing very hard for a release within this week/weekend. No promises as it's a lot of work being done on the line and expect a few preview teasers on what's new, very soon.
-
No pressure bro.... you are one of the best... I want to start the learning process from start to finish.... any special programs I need to get started... PM me a list if needed.

Don't stress yourself man, do what you have to with the time you need.....

It would be absolutely amazing of the route could come out this week
-
I have been working on this along with the Northbound D: the N to 95th Street!
Note: the Southbound R will be released along with the southbound N but only from Lexington Av - 95 via bridge

No rush

Looking good for the (N). For the southbound (R), we can collaborate with my custom object pack since I'm using that to develop the northbound (R). We'll figure out a way to code it backwards ;)

Alright folks, here's a major update post for the Q line.
Mr Railfan and I spent many hours working on the Q line package. The package will now include a 2006 version, complete with old static trains and pre-rehab stations.

Is the Q line still Brighton Express?
-
Nope, this time it will be Brighton Local .
-
Nope, this time it will be Brighton Local .
Is the Q line still Brighton Express?
No, It's still express. The Local will be in the following version. Hopefully the 100+ scenarios and an Extremely detailed line that goes to coney island in the upcoming version will hold you guys over.
-
Not to sound ungrateful or anything, but it seems that all this effort put into all these scenarios and refaces could be put into coding the local version of the route. Like I said, I mean no disrespect. I'm just voicing my opinion.
-
Listen, im not withholding the local version just because i don't feel like making it. There's no local version yet because the route is riddled with coding errors that i need to fix first, add all the new objects first and then i can finally port over the express into a local version. Once the express is fully upgraded, i'll work on the local. Like i said the plan for the longest was to finish v8 and the local will be in v9.
I also have very limited time as it is and i feel like having a very detailed line is more important then wasting the limited time i have trying to make a local with the same barebone details that's included with the current Q.

The Overpass is the next thing to get overhauled, but here you can see the new Stairs, crew office and Elevator walkway that DJ Hammers and I created. On a side note, I have placed the correct signs on every overpass from prospect park to Newkirk Plaza such as the "(25) Lincoln Road" sign in the photo above.
-
Not trying to be pushy, but I'm assuming the (B) will also be updated with these new features at some point?

-
Man, Looking at those pictures makes me think u guys are rly finished with the new Q line and nice work btw railfan
-
Looks nice but I hope all these objects don't make me laggy.
-
It will trust me
-
This route has a massive amount of objects and textures, much more than any other NYC Subway openBVE route developed before it, so it is inevitable that people with slow computers will have lag problems.
However, we are doing our best to optimize the route so that lag is kept to a minimum.

Some progress on Newkirk Avenue for the 2006 scenerio:

Newkirk Plaza*
Remember, this scenario takes place in 2006. At that time, the name of the station was Newkirk Avenue, since its renovation and name change didn't come until a few years later.

Hahaha I forgot about that, thanks for reminding me.
-
Im curious, how come you are doing the stations in 2006 on the brighton line and not the new ones?
-
Working on the 2006 scenario is much harder then doing the Modern day one. I figured that we would get the difficult stuff out of the way first and then just replace textures with 2013 textures. Don't worry, the release will have both 2013 and 2006 scenarios.

these look great and question are you and Mr railfan either this version or the next version planning on putting the Coney Island Complex
-
Yes, the CI Complex (the station) will be put in with the upcoming release.
-
i mean the rail yard
-
i mean the rail yard
I believe the yard is being made. I remember reading somewhere on this forum that the routes that enter the Coney Island station at the north end were originally delayed because of how difficult the yard was to create.

ok

Just saying, could you please try not to quote pictures? (just remove the image links when quoting). It's just unnecessary, and it creates a bit of a problem for people with slow internet connections and for those viewing the forum on mobile devices. Thanks :)
As usual, amazing work on the route guys! "Wow" is definitely right!
-
Great work guys on this route!
Just a heads up, are you guys going to fix 34th street for this upcoming release? The Northbound tracks I believe shift up (or maybe it's the southbound side going down) towards the southern end of the station from the Brooklyn-bound side.
And are you guys going to include Queensboro Tower?
Other than those two points, I see nothing else that needs major fixing. Great job again on this route! It's looking better and better with each passing shot.

Don't worry, between the two of us the route is having some work done on it almost every day.
Right now we are working on the metal sculptures on the platform at Brighton Beach. Making these is very time consuming, but they almost finished.

No rush at all. I like long waited surprises, so surprise me. Also, for the record BVEstation staff has given me the opportunity to operating some of the finest virtual lines out there. Thank you guys! Keep up the awesome work. :D

It is recommend that you have a fairly modern computer/laptop you should be fine with a mid-end graphics card(AMD or NVIDIA) and at least 4GB of RAM as days and time goes by the routes/trains will be richer to nail things exactly is real as possible for the best experience without hurting our computers.
-
Well explained. I'm running BVEStation on an ASUS G60Vx ROG laptop. Bought it used on eBay for a fare price just to play BVEStation. Since its running on a NVidia GDDR3 1GB Graphics, 4GB Rams, Intel(R) Core Duo CPU 2.13GHz. Good laptop! Just thought i'd share the specs :D

At this point, developers are working on updating real routes, not fictional ones.

Sorry, maybe at some point in the future. The release package will include various real Q train scenarios and reroutes only. However the folder object that the Q/G to Staten Island will be updated so some new objects may transfer over to those fictional routes.

Can someone tell me please, what is the version .4b? All i have is the Z skip stop but no J
version .4b was just the Z skip stop. If you want the J/Z scenarios, download version .5b (it was just uploaded today)
-
I ran the whole route. I understand that it's currently a BETA, so I would just like to make a few suggestions:
There should some scenery around the Williamsburg Bridge. It looks very bare without anything around.
The Williamsburg Bridge could definitely use some more work. Hopefully in a later version it will look as good as the current Manhattan Bridge in development
The .brightness values are slightly off between the Bridge and Essex. It gets dark too late after leaving the bridge and brightens too late at Essex
The curve about 25-50 meters after Flushing Avenue should be fixed. It looks a little bit off
Add in photorealistic textures at Essex
Very minor: get the new Marcy Av announcement (the one that includes an announcement for the B44 SBS transfer)
And just a small question: The V line was finished several years ago, now with the J/Z almost done, how is the current M coming along? The only parts that need to be built now are the Myrtle Avenue Branch and the Chrystie Cut
-
Where is the 0.4 version I need it to run the route

Very minor: get the new Marcy Av announcement (the one that includes an announcement for the B44 SBS transfer)
And just a small question: The V line was finished several years ago, now with the J/Z almost done, how is the current M coming along? The only parts that need to be built now are the Myrtle Avenue Branch and the Chrystie Cut
I think the curve after Cypress Station should be reduced a little bit. This is because trains can derail at certain speeds.
-
Also, would there be a M train to Bay 25 Street via Sea Beach line (N Line) or the J train shuttle on the brighton Beach Line (B Line)
-
I ran the whole route.

The Williamsburg Bridge has been improved by DJ Hammers and I along with some improved texture work.
I put in the brightness commands a while back into an early development version of the line (along with the signals) and i just didn't get a chance to update the things before the beta was released.
The Announcements have also been updated a while back, the beta was just released with an older sound folder before i sent JayJay the newest one.
Rest assured the majority of the things will be fixed for the full release.

Along with the Q, Mr Railfan and I are working on finishing up the J/Z line with updated graphics and details.

Very nice!
By the way, how are the weather scenarios (ie. snow) going?
-
Hey guys,
Such an impressive realsticly looking route made there, many regards to the developing team on that. Although there's nothing to critisise, I would suggest possibly brightening up the lights on the station. Just the lights, no not the tublar ones, the flat ones. I noticed that they were rather shaded dim.
A good way to keep them bright would be to add Setemissivecolor, 255, 255, 255 which helps a lot.
Apart from that, I cannot express such gratitude for such good work and I'll be looking forward to seeing more from you.
Many Regards,
Shaquille Henry

Yes, it's planned to be added in, considering i made snow objects for an older version of the Q.

We were actually going to replace the lights completely with a new object which should be much brighter . Thanks for the advice with the setemissivecolor command, ill make sure that's added.

i cant wait to get trippped :}
-
Looking good! I love the smooth transition from light to dark on the wall texture! You guys should work on putting that effect on the tracks too.
-
Good to know my trippers are still alive. The don't work just yet with tripping trains, but with a little more tweaking, it should stop all of the speed racers during runs.
Anywho, back to the Manhattan Bridge:

Did some retexturing and finished the lower level roadway:

Wow its been a while.... Remember me? :P
Anyway, Styles if you haven't already figured out the trippers, I've already had a tweak with an early copy I got from you a while ago and managed to get it working and tripping. Let me know if you need any help with them.

Very much appreciated. Shoot me an email when you get a chance.

Can't you delay the trippers until the train is completely passed
-
I think trains have trippers on every car, so if the trippers go up after the first car then the second car will get tripped
-
Yea that will be implemented.

Any word on the r38's, I can't wait. ;D

I'm working on the R38 too. Right now 3D poles are being put in. It probably will be released with the Q.
Hopefully the poles won't be as framerate breaking as the ones on the R46.
This route looks amazing btw. I hope to see more routes updated with this attention to detail.
-
Hopefully the poles won't be as framerate breaking as the ones on the R46.
they won't be. The R38 is pretty frame rate friendly compared to the R46
-
Speaking on the topic of frame rates, i'm pretty sure the Q line will not be able to run on lower end computers. The amount of details through out the route will really bring FPS down on low end computers. DJ Hammers and I are trying our best to maximize performance, but once again, there's no guarantee it'll run on low end PCs.

What do you mean by "lower end?" Like what specs would you expect the route to run smoothly on?
-

Anything that performs under an i3 processor and 4GB RAM or less. If you have an AMD A8 or Intel i5 you should be fine. As well as at least 4GB RAM.
-
A discrete graphics card (preferably NVIDIA) vs an integrated gpu is also recommended, although you may get by with mediocre frame rates running Intel HD 4000 or higher. Don't expect any sort of performance with an HD 3000 unit or below.

Holy crap, Im astounded !
-
I've got just one word for that: damn!!!!
To expand on that, are we sure Mr Railfan and DJ Hammers aren't just passing off real pics as development progress? ;D Seriously though, the bridge looks real good.
-

Elaborating on the framerate aspect of this conversation...
The amount of detail being put in to the Q line is far beyond anything that has been done before on any NYCT BVE routes. This means that the textures are much higher in resolution, and furthermore there are many more of them than previous routes. Don't be surprised if you don't get above 20 frames per second unless you have a (good) discrete graphics card and 4GB or more of RAM.
At this point we are pushing openBVE's renderer to its limit.

Can AMD dual core E1-1200 works with Openbve?

openBVE: Yes
with this route: highly doubt it

Unbelievable. I remember when I started to play BVE 2, computer drawn textures and objects with bare station platforms were the norm. Then ipac stepped everything up with new high quality objects and digitally drawn textures. Shortly after, photorealism was introduced, followed by animations, now there are even more realistic objects. The standards of NYCT routes have risen so much in such a little amount of time. This Q line is going to set a new precedent for routes.
Great work!
-
Wowza, I was not expecting this level of insane detail. :o

Its been over 10 years (Ernie Alston's 7 was created in 2001), and since, its amazing to see how far we have come from those days.

Not a knock on you ipac, I still love to run the (G), but remember when you made this?
This was like most amazing thing in the world when it was first released. We couldn't believe how amazing this route looked for its time. And now, the the new (Q) line will come out soon and will completely blow this out of the water. Simply amazing.

I have some good news. I have made the timers trip the train if you run through the red. I am still testing this at the moment, but i will post a video to show a preview of it. Unfortunately, this uses new coding and will not work with timers currently installed on NYCT BVE routes, making them obsolete. If i am satisfied with the results, all new lines will have timers with tripping ability.

this is payware type quality bro! AMAZING!
I agree; this looks like it should be a World of Subways release or something. The only thing that will make this any more realistic is smell-o-vision at this point.
-
Amazing thing is that this is all freeware. With other sims like FSX you can get ultra realistic add ons.... at the price of an arm and leg. The fact that this stuff is so realistic yet free is amazing.
Take a look at the PMDG Boeing 777 for FSX... it costs $90 and its essentially like being in a real plane. Everyone should appreciate how these trains/routes that are being pumped out are still free
-
Wow that 14 St looks incredible.

These look AMAZING. Very realistic. I hope it will be ready this year. I know the line is long

Personally I think World of Subways is very dark, and gloomy. The work done here looks significantly more realistic.

Status of route development as of March 19th, 2014.
(Q): Coney Island Bound currently under development by Mr Railfan and Dj Hammers. Both a 2006 version and a 2013 version is under development. Will include multiple scenarios such as reroutes and short turns. Will be released along with the full (D), (B), (N), and southbound (R) lines.
So will the (B)(N) and (R) also be released along with the (D) or will it just be the (D) and (Q)?
-
we're still not sure how we're going to release it, but the bottom line is the (B) (D) (N) (Q) (R) will be finished and released either in an all in one bundle, or release a line day by day, withing the course of a week.
-
I got a announcement to make guys this week for June 2014 release full length of D to Coney Island is done. It should be line by Wednesday.

A thought came to mind that kinda formed this question. With the (L) line being developed, which version is being created? Is it the updated (L) where Atlantic Ave is now used as a single island platform or the old (L) with the the now abandoned Manhattan bound platform?

Ahhh I see! That's totally fine! No problem! Of course. I was just curious since it wasn't ever mentioned again. Thanks for the headsup Dj Hammers! Keep up the awesomness. :D

Cool.is it now in beta testing stages
-
I admire the time and effort put into all the routes and trains but I am confused to which direction Bedford Park Blvd is facing due to the fact that is my home station and the entire station is curving from end to end. The platform texture is incorrect it should look something similar to the platform used at 7th Av. Another point out is there should be a tower at the South End of the station on the Manhattan bound platform. The train doesn't stop at the end of the platform but rather where the tower is. Good luck!
-
Just a quick update on the Q, a lot of progress is being made. DJ Hammers and I have been working non stop for about 2 weeks now. Some new screenshots will be released soon along with more details on the upgrades.
-
Amazed to see my home line (Neck Road Q) get so much attention! I can't wait for the release of this route.
If they ever get the LIRR station and the Manhattan Beach Branch as an addon, I'll get woozy. If the Sheepshead Race Track spur ever makes it in too, I'll pass out. :)
-
Yes. It's moving along nicely.
When you release the (N) to 86th will there be a version that will run via Whitehall (late night service)?
-
Here is new elevated station rood I made.

Nice work. Based on some of the images, can we expect a 1970s version of the route at some point?

Yes, it is planned but i want to focus on the 2015,2012 and 2006 scenarios first before creating a retro scenario.

Any news on the rest of the BMT? I know you guys are focusing on the (Q) but I know at one point you guys had a version of the (N) to 86th and the full (R), any news on those? And the (Q) looks amazing Btw just wish that BVE didn't have so many limitations

Like you said, right now the focus is on the Q. As soon as that is done the N and R will be updated using the new objects as they share a lot of common objects such as stations, walls and buildings, so the N/R will be released shortly after the Q is done.
Progress on the Q has also resumed at a steady pace and here's another preview shot (just outside church avenue):

Back from the dead, while I am working on the R (which is up to TSQ as we speak) I am also working on the M to 71st Continental. Here's a photo of the progress so far: (Still WIP)

It's been a while since I've posted any updates, but rest assured the development team has been very hard at work on completing the Q line.
Here are some progress updates:
57 Street to Church avenue is 95% completed and detailed. Additionally, Building placement and object placement are an accurate representation of where they are located in real life. Church avenue to Stillwell is also nearing completion, but requires some further detailing. Here are some preview screenshots :

i am so impressed of what i am seeing, i must thank u for taking the time and creating this route for us and taking your time and making this route so realistic, honestly i wish i can do stuff like that on bvestation, sadly i cant because i dont now to make routes or trains period. i hope this route can be released this year or sooner. Please keep up the amazing work you are doing and please take your time, i now understand why this is taking so long for you to finish, this is not something easy to make, and it means a lot that u try your hardest to make this amazing route. Thank You and i cant wait for the release of this Q line!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
-
I know there is already a Q line, but this is much more high quality. Will this one go all the way to Coney Island because the other one doesn't.

Yes, this one will go to Coney island and will have both express and local scenarios.

Ok. :)

I can't believe how detailed this is! OpenBVE has sure come a long way from stretched out textures for stations, no background buildings, and trains with blank boxes for exteriors. ;)
-
I'm working with MrRailFan's Route right now.
So im helping him out and making structures.
Im making next one is Cyclone and Wonder Wheel

I have to say: this is awesome!!! I need it :)

Some updates: Signaling has been completely redone from the ground up with newer realistic signals. New tracks have also been made along with scenery installments up to Brighton beach.
What's left: Scenery installment from Brighton beach to West 8 street, bug fixes and a Beta release. Not a lot of things left to be put in.

He isn't lying. It was his guess. Hint the word "Think". It's probably going come out this year, but you got to know the developers are busy. They have a life and they also have a job. Be patient.

If you ever plan to make a 1970s version of the Q (aka QB). I'm here!
