Very nice improvements! However, is it possible to get clearer R142 recording. The motor sound, especially the first two notes, seems to contain a lot of static noise.

Sure, I can get that done.

so will the new version of the R142/A contain the blinking yellow light and a find display

Not on my version but mostly likely Bstyles R142 will have that.

why does the R179 Q bombardier sounds like the R143

The R179 is a fictional train and there should be two versions of the Q train. One with the R143 sounds and 1 with the R160 sounds.

Yeah, the R142's do, but the R142A's have Bombardier propulsion. Big difference there in terms of sound, that's why it is easy to tell if you are riding an R142 or R142A because of the propulsion sound. SIRNSL made an R142 and R142A, and its the R142 that has the hissing.

Yes they all have the hissing sound it's just that all the R142s don't sound the same.

hey (SIR) or anyone else...im a huge fan of openbve but im not as active
i do have a question though: the R179 has the exterior and the sounds like the R160, the only difference is the panel
if someone could tell me if thats true or not...that would be great ;D

Well, there are no big differences except the route icon in the CBTC screen and the fact that it says "R179A" on the panel instead of R160, so I guess you could say it is sort-of true.

BTW, SIR, since the R179 already has working interior LED's, will you also (if it's possible) make them synchronized with what station you are at, as long as you are driving the right route? Like, for example, if I was driving the (F) train and I was just at Kings Hwy station, it would say that the next stop is Avenue P, and so on, instead of just always saying that the next stop is Parsons Blvd. Just a suggestion...

I don't think it's possible in openbve

I'm sure it's possible, and I'm also sure there's more than one way to do it. However, it would require some addons, and a little programming. I started doing some research on that about a week back. Hopefully I get some good results.

It is possible through the use of a plugin and beacon commands I think.
