did a train derail if yes what train line was it

my mom went to the supermarket and they put on the speakers that a train derailed but she mistook what they said and now we are confused as to wheher they said a train derailed or the A train derailed and keep in mind I was not there with her so did a train derailed and if yes what train line was it

I know an Amtrak Train derailed in queens
Outside the East Tunnel in Manhattan near Penn Station not Queens...If not some LIRR Trains are Delayed or either Cancelled

I know an Amtrak Train derailed in queens
Outside the East Tunnel in Manhattan near Penn Station not Queens...If not some LIRR Trains are Delayed or either Cancelled

Actually it was a amtrak. An Acela derailed in queens causing big headaches for the LIRR:

bve is right. It was an Amtrak. 2 cars derailed. I saw it on Fox 5.

when did this derailment happen i did not hear of it. i watch fox 5 and did not see it. was the train going fast i hope nobody got hurt.

No. In the video, it says it was a low speed derailment.

Either something on the tracks or the switches weren't put in place properly

I wouldn't. Derailments happen weather you want it or not, just like plane crashes. I think Amtrak does a pretty good job with their operations.

There was a derailment underground too I remember an N train had derailed once and it was one of the R160s that derailed.

I forgot if it was a collision or a derailment, but anyone remember; I believe it was a B train right before Dekalb Ave, this was probably a long while back when some of the forum members were still in the single digit years.

Another one, can't really say it was a derailment but kind of caused one?  The L train incident at Rockaway.
