Are you going to redo(update the stations) ?Yeah I do. The problem is that I have not "toured" or passed through the stations I'm working on and I'm pulling the objects from previous folders and updating them if I know and/or have seen the textures to update them with. Also, I saw on MTA's website that they are in progress of updating the Liberty Ave elevated platforms and if they look the same as the Brighton or the Rockaway's stations, they will be updated as such once I get the permission to use the textures needed. In the beta version the platforms used in the Lefferts-bound route may remain since they are currently coded in the route.
Thanks!
I have decided to create a guideline for how this route is being developed, which is here (https://www.dropbox.com/s/6yederwz7pbmz9s/%28A%29%28C%29%20Line%20release%20notes%20for%20OpenBVE.docx?dl=0).
Within the word document is my ESTIMATED release dates/scenarios for the A/C lines to 207th/168th. It is ALOT of work to be done, and I think this will help with any questions about the A/C development, and help keep people interested as I make my way up to 207th by releasing it in sections. The document will be updated as necessary with work that needs to be done, and so will this thread.
And here is a progress update:
Smooth curves are a WIP from Lefferts to 111th, and from 111th to 104th looooool

(I do understand this mess, and it will eventually be 3 tracks side by side, trust me)
I think an updated route is coming soon... Can you tell the difference?

Also, the elevated curves are done, and its time to work on switches to/from the Rockaways at Rockaway Blvd. More progress pics coming soon!!
lol, it is not that serious :D
The switches @ Lefferts Blvd need to be worked on before I start on Rockaway Blvd's own. They have been updated with textures from the rails to the catwalks. I'll just let the images speak for themselves...

And progress with Rockaway switches are coming along, slowly....

Man I remember playing the reverse route since before OpenBVE, glad development is in process!
Quick question, will there be a late night shuttle scenario?
Thanks! I need to place the guard rails and catwalks for the middle and Manhattan-bound track, and some fine detailing left to do. A few more weekends and these switches should be done. Then on to the Lefferts-bound track bypass
Switch Work coming along. Now I understand why the MTA uses weekends to do work, as there is less train traffic on the rails lol. The third set of switches (Rockaway/Lefferts bound track) will be coded after the middle set is done

I hate it when you try to reuse some of the old switches from Lexington and then the color of the rails don't match/don't have the same texture as your actual rails. It always gets me tight :pAfter I took the screenshot and uploaded it, I realized that I forgot to remove the {;} that I had in place for the texture line for the middle track rail. The {;} keeps the texture line in the object file but tells Object/Route viewer and OpenBVE to ignore the line instead of totally removing the whole texture line to preventing the texture from loading. The texture is there, though. It is easier for me to code with the rail white (add {;} in the texture line), then "add the texture back". (remove {;} in the texture line)
YASSSS.xD
The back to school update: :oNice work man! Looking forward to it!
So most of the critical skeleton work has been done, and it is time to do heavy detailing of stations, from signs to benches and staircases. The Rockaways-bound tracks have been the most difficult, as it is a bunch of trial and error just to make sure it lines up properly, but it had to be done. Anyways, enough talk, here are the screenshots of the Rockaway Blvd area and associated switches:
Nice work man! Looking forward to it!
