The R179s are supposed to replace the R32s, R68s, and R46 train cars.

Meaning they could go on the (A), (C), (G), (B), and (D), most likely.

And most likely the F since some R46 cars still run on that line

The R179s are supposed to replace the R32s, R68s, and R46 train cars.

The R179's are only supposed to replace the 32 and 42's.

If the R32's and R42's, they will most likely go on the (C), (J), and (Z) then.

I predict that the 5-car set R179s will go the Jamaica yard, as it already has NTT tooling.  The R46s on the R line in this scenario will go to the C line, replacing the R32s and allowing for the interoperability of trainsets between the A and the C.

That's right. The R179s are going to replace the R44s on the Staten Island railway, as well as the R32s and R42s. Thanks for the correction.

M may remain all R160. I'm not sure on this though.
