BVE/OpenBVE Support / need help

i recently had some trouble with my laptop had some work done which wiped it clean I went to a backup and which i had openbve saved on and after i copied it to my desktop it wont open?? any suggestions and Im working on a macbook pro thanks

Ive noticed that some of the routes new signals and backgrounds have been updated how did that happen?
