(WIP) 7 Line Update Thread
« on: January 03, 2011, 12:40:09 am »
The 7 is just about done, meaning its about 80-85% is complete. There are some minor fixes and details that have to be added. Actually if anyone is goes by QB Plaza on the 7 I need a pic of the 59th st bridge from the platform for some added scenery. :)

Sounds great! By the way, is this going to be a 5th generation route?

from an excerpt of http://wiki.bvestation.com/index.php?title=Generations :
"Fifth generation routes will feature up to 85%+ photo textures, objects, and structures are to be accurately depicted, and the route may also finally feature working safety systems. The tracks, tunnels and columns should also be replaced with photo-realistic ones, as seen in the London Underground routes. Anything under this category would classify as a fifth generation route.
The Rockaway Shuttle, a collaborative BVEStation development is planned to be a fifth generation route. The project is still in its conceptual planning stages, and no actual development has been started yet.
Currently this generation is only achieved as eye candy and serves as future blueprints."
basically its more detailed etc, like the F that's being made, The R and Bill's E route may lead to the A to Far Rockaway also but yeah its more realistic  :) ill research it more to get more detailed information asap

Basically, a 5th generation route is a route where more than 85% of the stations and objects are photos put together. That way, the station will look exactly like the real station, and therefore it's like you're actually the route in real life.
I haven't find one yet but according to this site, the Grand Street Shuttle will be one in the future.

5th Gen routes are nice, but I personally don't have the time to go to subway lines and take photos of the route.  I would love to, but it's not possible. Maybe at a later date it can be updated to a 5th Gen route. ;)

From that shot it looks like its between 33rd Street & Queensboro Plaza...though I could be wrong.
