If you could help with the cab it would be great.Hammers, I suggest contacting the person who made the original R36, because it's rather accurate soundwise. At least from old videos I've heard...
if you want to help just PM me your email and I will send you the train.
It's gonna have the R-12, 15, 17 right? (as exterior ((possible interior))?)
This thread will be for the R33-WF and R33-WF RFW view ONLY.et
The R33-ML will remain in the original thread (Which has had it's name changed from the TOMC thread to the R33-ML thread)
Here is the link to the R33-ML thread: http://forums.bvestation.com/index.php?topic=86.new#new (http://forums.bvestation.com/index.php?topic=86.new#new)
BTW Mr. Railfan I can deal completely with the RFW view version that I was working on before; the panel is pretty much done. When the normal R33-WF is finished on your end, send it to me and I will basically synchronize the two trains in terms of sounds and performance and I will put some finishing touches on them like windshield wipers, etc.
Other Random Note:
Does anybody know what happened to that Redbird exterior being created back on the old forums?

Yeah that should be easy to implement (in fact a similar feature is implemented in the R38)I believe the windshied wiper is manually...
Just one question, to turn on the wiper, do you pull the lever up or down?
Just keep in mind that these features can only be implemented in a train using the panel2.cfg system and not the panel.cfg system.
The train looks beautiful! This is going to be a classic on the future (7) by EDawg! It was the same as the ML just with a few design differences so I would say either that, the R36 or the R38. I may be wrong but that's what I remember
By the way, do you guys know which propulsion system the R33WF uses and what trains sound similar to it? I have a few recordings of 32s and I'll gladly contribute them if the 33WFs sounded like them.
Yeah that should be easy to implement (in fact a similar feature is implemented in the R38)the lever at this picture is down and moves in a clockwise direction . on my r30 cab you can see it in an upright position.

(http://i1217.photobucket.com/albums/dd389/DeAndre_Walters/Untitled-2.png)You could use Photoshop to skew it nicely, or you could make it with colors instead of textures
I cannot find a straigt sideview for s#%@!

@DjHammers i was playing around with that but it comes out all pixelated
It's going along greatthanks
thanksNP
i was panning the camera up or down in some of the picsthanksNP
I have a question though... Were you changing the cab position?
O no, I mean the actual cab... In some shots it looks like it's in the middle, while in others it looks like it's on the right side...i was panning the camera up or down in some of the picsthanksNP
I have a question though... Were you changing the cab position?
I think he means the cab position relative to the tracks.Yes
yea i figured out what ur talking about . i messed up something in the train.dat file that actually centered the train . its fixed now ;)I think he means the cab position relative to the tracks.Yes

Well what will probably happen is the initial release will be a train of solid R33-WFs.Goodie! What about the R15? Also, if you do make an R12, the original one, its brakes gave at around 10 MPH
Later a full TOMC exterior can be finished that includes the R17, R12, etc...

So, here we have our R33WF side (http://s3.postimage.org/g7nblfwk/r33wf.jpg). The first thing that we want to do is to create a rough sketch by using another picture or the datasheet . Now we are going to copy down the entire length of the doors to out clipboard. Very carefully position the doors on the picture and have it line up properly. You can paste them off as one door or two doors. So here is your R33WF side exterior(http://s2.postimage.org/u8p203s4/sheet036_r33wf.jpg)(here's the link)http://postimage.org/image/u8p203s4/ (http://postimage.org/image/u8p203s4/). thanks again but we already have an exterior [with the exclusion of a proper front]Just a little constructive critisism, it looks great but it's dim and museum like. I know the pictures were taken at the museum but isn't there a way to make the texture a little bit brighter? And the black stripe separating the white from the blue gets covered up by the top. Other than that great work, and if you decide to do something with my side exterior just mention me in the credits and inform me what you did because I like to have everything I can get my hands on.

its Still a work in progress though.
Mr. Railfan has recieved the R33-WF from me to do some finishing up on the cab and then BETA testing will commence. The train should be within the next 2 weeks, but no guarantees. Can i test i been here for a year can that be a exception. Thank you
BETAs have been sent out.BETAs have been received :D
Gong Gahou is working on centering the exterior. Once that is done the train can be released.

Hey DJ after the R33WF u r going to start the R36 or a R33MLI will take a small break after the release of the R33-WF, then I will work on updating the R33-ML and finally give the R38 exterior an upgrade.
Mr.RailFan is going to give a cab for the R33MLI have two ways to respond to that.
Coming along great. Keep up the good work. Thanks zerobeats! I haven't seen you here in a while, nice to have you back!
I'd say the exterior in the second picture looks better in the daytime, but it obviously depends on if you are in a tunnel or not. In the daytime, Mr Railfan's exterior looks weird IMOIt was very hard work but i combined a datasheet and a slanted picture in paint with some awesome editing and created this :D
I also just noticed that the top two side rollsigns (The Route starting point and destination signs) do not scroll when I press the 8 or 9 keys, however the destination sign on the front of the train does scroll. The main route indicator rollsign scrolls normally on both the side sign and front sign, it is just the two side signs that have this problem
Hey, STO5, I hope you don't mind me posting your vid, it's pretty nice =)

Hey DJ. You said there was an updated file for this train. Has it been uploaded yet?I don't think so. Both the updated R33WF and R33ML have been sent to error46146 but I don't think he has uploaded them yet.
Is that the updated one?
After a lot of work, the updated R33WF trainset has been uploaded to the downloads page.
...the updated R33WF trainset has been uploaded to the downloads page.and that
error46146 will update the description and "last updated" labels soon. So, even though the info isn't updated, the R33WF is up to date.
Is that the updated one?
the reason why i say this was because the date was not updated? Why you have to be angry about it. It sounded like you are about to start a fightMaybe if you stopped being so ignorant and actually read for once in your life (I know, what a concept!? /sarcasm) then you wouldn't get roasted all the time.

Sweet, are all your cars gonna have straphangers? keep up the good work. :)
Because of recent developments the TOMC project has been split. The R33-WF and R33-WF RFW view is going forward as a joint project between me and Mr. Railfan.
Looking good, you should also make an R11 sometime, and then some IRT Redbirds like the R36. And to clarify, all these models you are making will have the W/G stickers too, right? And if possible, could you maybe make both a Westinghouse and GE version of each train where it is appropriate? Great so far though ;)

It is really good though ;) But the doors are definitely a bit messed up (They seem to be taller than they need to be, and you do not really see where they are, since you do not see the door edge lines)
(sorry that the doors don't line up well, since i patched the doors in from the animated door textures)

A little progress of the process of adding photorealistic textures that correspond to the R21/R22 for the R21/R22, replacing the R15 textures used as a template.
(to certain people, the black outlines are only visible within objectviewer and not OpenBVE..)
:o Damn, this is real photorealisitic stuff, and im guessing there isnt a speedometer....There is no speedometer *some of the redbirds.
Thats some amazing work Chris.
This is what you get when you have good textures!
Yup, there is no speedometer on the redbirds.
And IMAO, that kinda looks like an R38 cab. Does anyone agree with me?All pre-R38 SMEE cabs look extremely similar. The R38, R40 Slant, R40M, and R42 cabs are actually the exceptions to the rule, and look

Is their going to be a TOMC or Redbird for the R33ML?
Entering a 5-car length station? just press 2 to prevent the last 5 cars from opening their doors before opening to doors. Press 2 again if entering a full 10-car length station to allow all cars to open their doors!

This is perfect for the South Ferry Loop
How can that be implemented??
So there is a (3) line in development... 8)
Probably the Metro Transit New Lots Line.
Looks like an actual Utica Avenue to me...

Damn I cant wait to drive this. Oh the memories with this on the 7. When the R62a came, I always used to tell my grandpa wait till the red one comes lol.

I used to say the samething about the cta budd 2200 series to my mom or my sister when they would take me on the Dearborn Street subway here in chicago. I'm kind of sad that I didn't get to ride some of you guys classic cars before they scrapped them. :(
SWEET!!! but one thing i didn't see my name in the cab shot credits, unless you didn't use mine, then never mind.
I'll be posting progress of the R33/R36ML and the R33/R36WF here as well from now on.
So far what's going on with the R33/R36ML...

I found a problem with the R17:It's a coding error in the extensions.cfg file.

It's a coding error in the extensions.cfg file.
Just need to change 1 line and the problem is fixed.
Wow, this has progressed a lot! Great work!
I could use some help.....I made a low poly model of a R22 for a game mod and I'm at the texturing stage now.
Where do you get the textures for these models? Or any advice is welcome.
i already made R21/R22. i dont want anyone involve my project so far since bad members seized me up...I'm not making it for this game. It's for another game as stated in my post. Never implied I wanted to help you. I wouldn't just intrude on someones project like that. I'm only looking for direction for some good textures.

Yep curious as to see what game this is. Also be sure you get permission from the photographer of the picture you are using. The photos on nycsubway.org have a large number of different people submitting their photos!
Really good job. I love how the sounds are almost completely different from trains like the R32 and R30 and even he bogies have been remade. Good job, hope to see more preGOH trains in development soon. By the way, Why didn't you post this on the main BVEstation page?Because apparently the website is running low on resources and no one is uploading on the main page anymore.
Oh, sorry for the massive vaporware.Hi, I made new 1970s rollsigns for myself for the R16 with the real font but if you need them in case you are still working on the R16 I can send it to you :)
I'm still working on the sounds, now that it's back in my hands, and tweaking things a bit.
The link that fan railer posted is an official beta release.
Hats off to Mudwrestle for his hard work on the new exteriors and interiors!
Not related to this train series but is there a link to the pre GOH R40 Slant/R40M/R42?The development of the preGOH R40/M/42 has been granted to me by the original developer BveMudwrestle so i'm working on them.
