BVE/OpenBVE Support / Missing Objects on almost all Routes.
« on: July 17, 2018, 04:18:57 pm »
I recently installed openbve 1.5.3.7 on my new Win10 PC. I have used it in the past so I know how to install routes. This time however I am missing hundreds or thousands of objects on each route I try to load. Is the newest version broken or am I missing something that changed? I would upload a pic of my Legacycontent directory but the site wont let me. Any help would be appreciated.

so dll is a suspect to causing any bugs. i think someone make messed up dll to implement our train. im not sure why and yet. i am only responsible for extension.cfg and exterior

Honestly I think its a problem on my end but I don't know what the problem would be. I noticed this is a rare issue that most people don't get, I just wish I could figure out what causes it.

strangely, i think it was "customindicators" in OS_Ats1.dll to apply those pluginstates

I believe so, then you can change them in the OS_Ats1.cfg. I didn't touch the config before this issue started though.

I did try changing the numbers next to "customindicators" in the R40S to the same ones in the R46 cfg after the issue started. However that didn't fix the problem. Only copying over the dll itself worked.

I love the R40S and am looking forward to the next update with the other versions.

I do have a question though. Anyone ever figure out why trains rollsigns sometimes just stop working suddenly?

When I first downloaded the R40S the rollsigns worked. Yesterday they just stopped working, so I took the OS_Ats1.dll out from the newest R46 and copied it over the one for the R40S and now the rollsigns work again.

Its frustrating how that keeps happening, it even happened to the newest R30 and I did the same thing and now its fine. Its just weird and I never found an explanation as to why that happens. Or do you guys think is it just a bug that can never be fixed?

« on: April 30, 2014, 01:00:36 pm »
Right after I posted this question, I managed to solve the issue myself through trial and error. I simply copied the OS_Ats1.dll from the new R38 (10 car folder) and stuck it in the R32 folder for the train I wanted to use and presto, the Roll Signs work fine now.

Update: I copied this dll to the rest of the R32 trains and picked two at random and the Roll Sign function is working perfect now. The dll that came with the R32 must have been corrupt or something. I am leaving these posts up to help anyone else having this problem.

Update 2: Ok so everything was fine for a day, then the problem started happening again. I updated to the newest OpenBVE and I tried copying the OS_Ats1.dll from the updated R46 and tried several trains I was having problems with and the issue seemed to have cleared up again. This is a weird problem that I hope does not come back.

BVE/OpenBVE Support / Disable ATS on Trains? (Roll Sign Problem)
« on: April 30, 2014, 12:56:38 pm »
Is this possible? It is interfering with the Roll Sign Functions on some trains that have it.

The new R38, I have no issues with, and ATS appears to be completely disabled for it. However I can't change the roll signs on the new R32. I read that the ATS plugin as well as your Antivirus program can cause the Roll Sign function to not work. However I have the entire folder where OpenBVE is installed added as an exception, and I have no issues with the R38, so that can't be the problem.

I tried removing all of the ATS txt and dll files from the train folder but ATS was still functional.  :-\

Thanks in advance for any assistance.

Thanks for the tip. I will give it a go but it should be ok if not, 8 files are more tolerable to me than 39. The most files Ive ever been missing before this was 11 and I didnt notice anything major missing so it should be ok.  :)

I had the problem too a while ago.  P line (or its object files) has Octavia\Richmond County objects.  That should narrow it down to around 6 files.  Of those 6 files, you could search up replacements in your bve folder or the objects themselves in another object folder.
http://www.bvestation.com/downloadinfo.php?id=50 click the enjoy! button on the bottom right, that'll get you the object files.

Thank you very much, that narrowed my missing files down to 8. Im going to run the route again, as long as large parts of the world isn't missing I can deal with 8 missing files. Thanks again  ;D

When I load up the F Line I find that 39 files are missing for all 3 route files. Leaving Manhattan for Queens a lot of the tunnel walls are missing. I didnt notice anyone else complaining about this issue so I am wondering If I am missing something.

I have the A V Q and the F main file as well as the auto announcements addon. They are all in the proper subfolders (to my knowledge) in my C:\Program Files\BVE directory.

I use OpenBve to run all of my routes. The Error Log is attached. Any help is appreciated, thank you in advance.
