BVEStation Network News / Route Updates (The New Look)
« on: November 06, 2012, 04:23:19 pm »
I have been looking into some site upgrades and with the help of the committee, we are able to make a realistic of subway map of all completed routes.

It will features just a regular subway map but real scale drawn lines that will show what developers are up to. I will leave a link to the different development pages also around the site that will help you to keep track of what is going on. If anyone is handy with Adobe Illustrator CS6 then you should be able to help out. I will update this thread with an example screen shot.

If your on a MAC computer, you can spread your two fingers on the mouse pad to enlarge the image.

I am still working on the Windows enlargement process.

Most of the routes listed are either only going uptown. I will label the few going downtown and add links to respective threads and developers.

Developers: Twigga / Rayvon/ Phantom909 / Imanuel

The argument and whining is done. Keep on topic please no more quoting and explaining yourself. Let it go.

just going to leave this here..........................

That is what is called the new projected look for the R179 as stated by the MTA. We are not sure as yet though. It was released on the Bombardier site.

« on: October 06, 2012, 12:02:40 am »
To clear the air:

The A to Far Rockaway & Rockaway Park are in skeletal phases.

The A to Lefferts Blvd now has full R160 announcements thanks to myself & Mr Railfan. They will be available when we get to it, please near with us.

As for off topic routes like the D & F will be on their respective posts.

51
The topics have been split so their is no more confusion. The respective developers along with other associate developers will update the threads periodically.

General BVE/OpenBVE / Quality Assurance Download Submissions
« on: September 18, 2012, 07:00:06 pm »
THIS POST IS FOR QA MEMBERS ONLY!!

Welcome to the Quality Assurance team. You have been selected to judge content based on these main ideals:

- Image Quality
- Performance in the BVE Platform
- Visual & Audio Quality

You will be able to access a special email designed where developers can send in their work. It will be monitored for security purposes.

Content will be available for download for you to ONLY to try. If we feel or see that work may be handed out in officially we will remove you from the team and replace you. So we are trusting that you keep data secure.

We rate work based on the stated features above. We go in a star rating system.

(5) Stars (Highest Grade)
(4) Stars (Good Grade)
(3) Stars (Moderate Grade)
(2) Stars (Lowest Grade)
(1) Star (Horrible Grade)

We will give you one week from the date the download was received in the email. The chief official who will be in charge of accessing the email would be and would sen out group emails to the team. Results are due the night before the deadline date or earlier. Results will be sent in a Notepad file (.txt) to agardimanuel@hotmail.com.

Ratings would be averaged and then be divided by the panel members votes and will displayed for downloads with whatever comments you add in. Your name will not be revealed with the comments.

Any questions you can message or email me. Thanks and welcome to the team.

The ATS was coded on the train for a reason, in fact any more trains being developed will have that feature.

Why?

Simple reason. When doing a run, we want to implement realism in the routes being created which includes trip arms created by BStlyes. These trip arms are supposed to trip the train in case you over run a signal. To solve the issue with the roll sign merely lies inside the coding where you can separate which code does what without interferring with other coding.

A great example is Chris's R33ML.

yes.

56
What do u mean? Change rollsign of stripmap/led lines? Well no way to make it..

Since animated codes dont allow put states = object.animated except b3d/csv

So we have to make every r142/a cars of lines

Im sorry bro

Yes until we get better coding language we will have to do that.

57
I saw a video with the strip map tested on the 2 but it was with an R142A train. Since 2 trains consists of only R142s It'd be more realistic if the strip map had like a 4 or 6 strip map but the route change (map is not in use) sign is lit up on it. Just a thought.

Lol I do know that. But even so with how backwards MTA they can easily change out the maps. Don't worry when te R142 comes out everything will be corrected even though this can be possible. But right now it's in it's testing phases.

General BVE/OpenBVE / Re: OpenBVE Lives On.
« on: September 07, 2012, 05:45:00 pm »
My views on that sort've changed.

But what I said was to get OpenBVE on a source code versioning system and we should respect the original developer.

Lol I'm joking but yeah I know what you mean.

Before attempting any of this , you have to at least know the basics to route coding. If you have absolutely no idea what the hell you are doing and just putting in random code in trying to make the train turn you will end up with stuff like this :

and your train will turn out like this:

I wanna start coding like that lmao jk
