General BVE/OpenBVE / What I recently discovered...might help people
« on: October 10, 2012, 04:53:13 pm »
Hello everyone, what I recently did was install openbve on my older computer. I had no idea that it would work 2 times better then my newer one. Here are the specs on the older computer and new computer.

Older One:
1GB RAM
70GB HDD
64MB graphics card, NVIDIA
Windows XP
Processor: Pentium 4

Newer one:
2GB RAM
70GB HDD
integrated intel graphics, roughly 300MB
Processor: Intel Core 2 Duo
Windows Vista

The results I got were incredible. I got an average of 15-20 fps on the new F with 225m viewing distance with my new computer. NOW on my old computer, i get 20-30 fps with 600m viewing distance. I mean, its like a whole new world opened up. I think I know the answer to this but im not quite certain so ima ask it anyways. Anyone wonder/ know why?

I am running Windows Vista and the error message I get would be how C:/Program Files/openbve/settings/options.cfg can not be accessed. Any advice is appericated :)

BVE/OpenBVE Support / Axle boggies
« on: April 08, 2012, 09:20:09 am »
Hello bvestation...i was wondering if there was a way to stop the rotation of the axle wheels/boggies. IF so, how do u do it, and will it affect fps performance. Right now, im running a train that has rotating axles and i get about 5-6 fps. If it is possible to stop this rotation, will my fps increase? Any support/help is appericated. Thanks :)

BVE/OpenBVE Support / A bit of openbve help please
« on: November 22, 2011, 05:03:22 pm »
Hello Bvestation. Aside from all the wonderful nyct routes I play, I also play this fictictional
desert freight route for openbve. I have several freight trains for this route and these freight trains
have at max 15 cars. I would like to know how to add cars to these trains to make (for example 30 cars)
like a real classic freight train. I think you need to do something else aside from adding lines to the extensions.cfg
file. Any help would be appericated. Thanks :D
