Looks great! Do show some screenshots of the front.

The way BVE works is that its a linear coded.  This means everything you see in the game is on a forward facing line.  It is possible to "flip" everything, but this too requires work and is not as easy as it sounds to do.

I'm guessing you've been to one and seen the demand? (I haven't been to one yet)

It would also be great to know who specifically is there, and/or which devs have gone.

BVE/OpenBVE Support / Re: How do i post screen shots ?

Head over to http://postimage.org or http://imgur.com upload your image there, then take the link of the image, and wrap it in an image tag.  If you use Postimage there is a Hotlink for Forums that you can use, you can copy and paste that here.

There will be a public alpha test next month for anyone interested to try.  There will likely be a small set of public servers (viewable by everyone), with the possibility to rent a non-public (anybody can connect, but it won't be viewable to everyone) server if you want to play with your friends or something.

It uses a modified version of OpenBVE and there won't be any support for Macs.

Have you downloaded the dependencies?  These are shown on the right under the file information.  You need those files to play.

I wish the missions weren't so ridiculous in this game. They're some that are realistic (ie. operating in snow while trying to stay on schedule,) but they're some that are just completely silly. Why would you transport a pregnant woman on a subway train when you can call an ambulance? What C/R would go alone into a pitch dark tunnel with a serial killer around? Who the hell would operate a train through an underwater tunnel after an earthquake when it's far safer to evacuate at the station? I would rather have missions such as a derailment leading to an evacuation, sudden power loss inside a tunnel, GOs due to construction, operating a rescue train to help a stalled train etc. The game is a good for anyone who just wants to operate the (7) line (especially considering the fact that the updated 7 is not available for openBVE yet), but the missions are absolute garbage.

I do agree that some the missions were ridiculous and unrealistic.  I do commend them on trying though.  I can definitely see where you are coming from.  Just looked at the price, the game is $34.99? Thats more than a DLC on Train Simulator 2015...  Judging by the latest screenshots and videos, I do like the exterior graphics of the neighborhoods on the elevated during the day, still hate the graphics underground though.  This game is definitely not on my wish list though.

This is great to hear.  Thanks JayJay!

No, but a new one is in the works. 8)

Two routes on the same track are still considered 2 seperate routes.  There isn't anything that can be done in that case.

And yes it is just like the old multiplayer that was first released many months or years ago.

General BVE/OpenBVE / An actual Multiplayer OpenBVE (NOT Teamspeak)
« on: March 20, 2015, 01:03:36 am »
Hey guys, I'd like to gauge interest in an actual Multiplayer OpenBVE client, where you can see each other in the game.  (OpenBVE/BVE still limit you to a single line, so you'll only see other players on the same route)  I'm not talking about Teamspeak or anything.  Let me know what you guys think.

Yep these times are pretty quiet, even in the greater BVE community.  Rest assured we'll keep you updated with news as they come in.  If you want you can even head out to other BVE communities looking for content to show us all, and let us know what you find.  I also noticed you are new, so welcome! and Enjoy your stay!

Other Games / Cities Skylines

Just wondering if anybody's played Cities Skylines, recently released by the same people that made Cities In Motion 2.  I've seen a few of you guys on the BVEStation Steam Group also playing it.  What do you guys think?
