Content Development / Object Viewer on a Mac?
« on: August 05, 2013, 08:23:11 pm »
I was wondering if it is possible to run object viewer, and any of the other content developing software, on a Mac, without using something like bootcamp? Thanks in advance!  :)

Did you install the content into the correct directories? I don't know what they are for you, as I have a Mac. On my old Dell, I had the same issues. Make sure everything is downloaded and installed properly and try again.

Transit / Re: rarest Catch
« on: April 08, 2013, 05:05:17 pm »
This was about to be a rare catch!
I was on the C train at Canal St, and they announced that it was going to run to WTC because of a sick passenger at High Street. The train cleared, only to find out that the sick passenger had been removed, and trains were back to normal.

Transit / South Ferry

Hey guys. I'm sure that many of you know about this already, but Gov. Cuomo announced that (1) train service will return to the old south ferry loop at the beginning of April! http://mta.info/nyct/service/SouthFerryStationReopenApril2013.htm

Here's a small project i did in about a half and hour. I know it's low quality, but i just wanted to test an idea i had, so enjoy! :D

Nice job so far! Keep up the good work!

Have fun doing that! I live near Fulton Street, and I have only seen one R42 train so far this year on the (J)(Z), and another on the (C). I guess if you're willing to wait, you will definitely get one though.

I used to have a picture of that dial but i can't find it now... -_-

As for the mechanics how it all works, aspiring engineers, read up: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Flip-disc_display
Thanks Dj Hammers. I'll see if I can get a clear shot of the dial next week.

i always wondered with the 32's and 38's, how do they change the flipdots? Is there some switch in the overhead, or what?
Taking the C train to school everyday, I've had the opportunity to glance into the conductors cab. There is a big dial on the upper right wall, and when adjusted changes the flipdots displayed. As for the mechanics, I don't know...

Ah. I see. That probably explains why I saw an (H) train poster on the (C) train yesterday.
