Reverse Rush Hour on the J/Z Lines
« on: February 27, 2013, 08:33:24 pm »
On MLK day I decided I would take the opportunity given by the weekday off to go get full queens-bound RFW footage on the J/Z line from Broad Street to Jamaica Center...

Enjoy!

Have fun doing that! I live near Fulton Street, and I have only seen one R42 train so far this year on the (J)(Z), and another on the (C). I guess if you're willing to wait, you will definitely get one though.

It don't think it should be too hard. When I visited NYC last year, I sat and waited at Broad Street station for a while, and got an R42 after about 6-7 R160's came and went.

The R42s should run until 2015 along with the R32s. Btw at what part of day is it best to catch a 42 on the J/Z?

During rush hours, around 3 Z Trains are R42s, and around 2 J Trains are R42s.
During midday hours, sometimes they run one train of R42s, sometimes they don't run any.
On weekends, they usually run one set of R42s, but not always.
