Bronx River Line to Cross County
« on: June 29, 2011, 11:15:11 am »
That's right, I'm back at it again. I am currently in the early stages of developing The Brox River Line, an embankment/underground line along the Bronx River to the Cross County Shopping Center in Yonkers. The 'Official' Designation for the will be determined at a later date, but it is an IRT route. This route will tie into a future project that will begin after I complete development on the 3 line. I have eliminated the Yonkers loop portion of my Super Route and incorporated the stations into this line. I am upping the ante this time concerning new commands by using a couple of more that will not only cut production time, but will add more surprises to the route. one of these commands are already in use in the 8 line, which will see release soon as well. More info/pics to come after I finish the skeleton.

Map of the route:

Awesome too hear Rayvon. This is not an important question but will this be a 5 car length route or full 10 or 11 car sets?

This line will be full length. I noticed that after I eliminated the local loop that there's a few stations missing from the line, so this route may in reality end either at the Yonkers Rail Station or Getty Square, I'll edit the post if I decide to extend it

Good to know.I was thinking yea the route can end at Getty Square and it can relay near by Yonkers station since it's about a few blocks west of Getty Sq.

The Line will have it's own visible layup yard at Cross County and will be serviced by 207th. I should be done with a skeleton by the end of the week after I pick out some objects and work some stuff out

Judging from the map your route travels very close to the Metro North Harlem Line. Have you ever considered making it use the same tracks or running alongside of the commuter tracks?

Hey guys, I sprained my wrist a couple of days ago so I had to stop coding, but I have been working on some basic work like wall production and station layout. In the meantime I will focus on the R62/A since I've been able to get stereo recordings lately. Stay tuned.

While waiting for my hand to heal I brainstormed a new way to create both an express and a local scenario at the same time, if the command works out the way I want it to then production time will be cut down even more.
