Breaking into the yard at night wouldn't explain the daylight in the panel. ;)

Great job so far. Let me know how the panel is progressing so that I can coordinate it with the exterior/interior view.

Station Talk / Re: Metro North New Haven Line?

I suggest someone should made a new haven line from grand central to new haven union station.

Please refer to this thread: http://forums.bvestation.com/index.php?topic=256.0

Textured...

Ugh, Photobucket. Well, I blame myself for uploading images that were 4320x3240. I'll use Imageshack until my Photobucket bandwith resets.

I'm not doing this again:

R127 front texture so that I can add the gates separately.

I would have posted video 2 of the sound update today, but I just got a whole wave of new sounds from an R142 with no HVAC today and I will redo them and should have the video ready later on in the week. Stay tuned.

i agree with haven. why can't we just convert every single stuff from train to openbve like the metro north train and line

The answer is simple: It is NOT possible. Come on, really? We'd have every route under the sun if it were.

I'm aware that there is a Blender plugin that will convert .3DS files to CSV/B3D, however the amount of polygons generated for the object alone will crush any dreams of running routes smoothly.

Once Trainz IM(Indexed Mesh) files are in-game as .IM, they are irreversible and cannot be converted to any other format for editing.

My R160 model successfully made it from .3DS to .CSV...

...but with 14,230 polygons even the fastest computers can't run it. So in conclusion, Trainz models will never be available for BVE. Case closed.

Oh, and do not ask me about the status of the R160, because it is not in development for BVE period, and do not ask me for it. This is the development topic for the Long Island Railroad Route. I'm just clearing things up.

*Asterisk means that the 142A project will be coordinated with Bill(Error46146) and/or (SIR) North Shore Line.

Decided to start this one too. The 142 is in full development, and will sport a 3D cab. I'm currently analyzing the coding used in the recent MARTA CQ312 to reference the 3D Cab, and if its possible I will make a 3D and 2D version for those who are unable to run it. It should be possible by now, but whatever though.

The R142/142A project will start from where it left off on the old forum, with the 142 exterior completely done. Work will resume on the interior after I work out most of the details on the R62/62A project. So for now, update 1:

And for the video. I have long since updated the sounds but for now, here's what it sounds like. It will sport the 142A panel with very minor changes until I can get started on the 3D cab.

Yep, this is it! The R62/62A Exterior/Interior development thread! I meant to make one once the interior had been overhauled but things are starting to move faster in terms of development. If you've followed from the old forum, then the development is no different here.

We basically built the car from an older static model and kept adding things on from that point. By the time I thought I was done with the interior I hadn't realized that I couldn't even understand my own coding. The exterior was also incredibly short and the process was becoming more and more complicated, so, I'm overhauling the entire project, obliterating all of the coding, and starting over from scratch. The exterior will still feature Theflyingoreo's animated rollsigns and the curved roof provided by Pjiang6211.

The first of many updates:

Yes, those are the windows. They were made as a separate wall with transparency so that we don't have to make a separate object for every window. Expect more updates soon.

I second that.

Ugh, so many R62 panels in development, but only one exterior to go with it. Hard to decide. ::)

It's a wonderful run but the train really didn't have a propulsion.

In real life the MARTA CQ312 sports a propulsion similar, if not identical to the R143. I rode it into Hartsfield-Jackson once, and it was pretty smooth.

Our newer exteriors will also feature day and night modes, so it should look a little more interesting when entering/exiting stations.

Don't worry, TJay. Your routes are always the best , so I don't think there will be a need to tone it down any. Keep up the good work!

I see no reason for there to be two multilayer platforms, but whatever though. The more, the merrier.
