Hello all current bvestation members, i would like to ask a question. What recording software should i use to record my routes? i use fraps but even a 30 sec video comes out to 389 MB which is way to much. i want to share my videos with u guys so what program do u suggest? I'd say Camtasia is the next best thing, as I used it once and it is pretty decent. BSR Screen Recorder can also be used.

Ok thanks, and i just recorded a vid of the Z entering valley stream and it was 322 MB lol? and in fraps what does half-record mean? theres full record and half

Video records in half the screen resolution. Say if your game's resolution is 1280 x 720 pixels, FRAPS will record half that. So the video file will be 640 x 360 pixels.

You need a video compression program such as VirtualDub to shrink the video file.

You can also use a video renderer, such as sony Vegas, movie maker, etc. With that, you can edit, trim, add effects and convert to hd. The file size will be more reasonable

322 MB isn't bad.Youtube has a cap I think of 2 GB for an upload. 322 MB should upload within 10-15 minutes.

Yes, it depends on your upload speeds. Some people can upload several MB a second, but I am only around 500kb/sec

I usually just run it through Movie Maker and compress it to a lower resolution (320x240 is fine if you're uploading it to youtube or something)
