I can't see the pictures?

I deleted all of the videos associated with the 3rd Ave Line project. New videos will be up once I get the route looking nice and with announcements. I did this to prevent any confusion since there will be a new line built with it and a new track layout that slightly resembles the original.

2
The IRT 3rd and 5th Ave Lines are now underway. I have extended the 3rd Ave Line trains a bit to share tracks with one of the 5th Ave
trains. The lines are as follows.

3rd Ave Line:

12 from Kings Plaza to Bay Plaza- Bartow Ave. (Parkchester during afternoon and PM Rush Hour Bronx local service)
8 from Utica Ave to Fordham Plaza. (Late Nights from Alexander Ave Bronx to Fordham Plaza. Weekends from Gateway Center Bklyn)
9 from John Street- South Street Seaport to 174th Street- Highbridge Park.

5th Ave Line:

11 from Gateway Drive- Gateway Center to Woodlawn Jerome Ave.
10 from Division Street (Manhattan) to White Plains Rd- Bruckner Blvd Shopping Center. (Transfer to 12 trains at this station)

This is the new update for the 3rd Ave IRT. Will be made with a 5th Ave IRT.

After a lot of thinking, I will include the Rush Hour (W) or Express (S) service inside the first version of the route.

Some Progress:
The yard has been worked on piece by piece, and I'm still making all the objects for it in SketchUp. I apologize I haven't been putting up screenies lately, it's because I'm dealing with school and family, etc.

Announcements:
I need to redo the announcements and use some real people for it, because honestly the announcements sound like a robot is saying it.

I can do the automated announcements if you want. Write down how you want each announcement to be played. Example: This is a Bronx bound 2 express train. The next stop is Chambers street. Or, This is Borough Hall, Transfer is available to the 3, 4, 5, and R trains.

4
Ok cool. Where exactly (what street) in Parkchester will your shuttle train be stopping at? And what should the announcement say when transferring to it since Parkchester is its terminus? [Example: This is Parkchester transfer is available to the shuttle train to __________]

I know it's a Beta and pretty good at that but some inaccuracies were present, some stated above.
1st one I spotted: At Parkchester the second staircase leading up to the platform should be facing the opposite direction on both sides. Very minor in my opionon.

2nd one I spotted: At 14th street on the uptown platform N/B end there isn't a tunnel wall at the end of the platform, in fact tunnel pillars start from a piece of the platform that thins out in the tunnel. Also on the northbound and southbound local tracks the wall in the tunnel is a tile wall matching the one in the station for a section before turning into tunnel wall. Another minor thing.

3rd: At Brooklyn Bridge on both platforms before the 6 even switches onto the loop track and before the train enters the station on the N/B track there is an abandoned portion of the two platforms in the tunnel. No end wall at the end of them just a railing then pillars. That section was abandoned after they lengthened the platforms on the opposite end initially bringing about the closing of Worth street.

All in all it's pretty good regardless but for the die hard railfans had to point those out. Still better than World of Subways 4

Since your shuttle is also going to Parkchester do you want to have it connect with my fictional 3rd Ave Line there? My 12 train stops at Parkchester and I can make the announcement to also transfer to your shuttle at that station. Where on E 169th does your shuttle stop because my 8 stops there but on Prospect before curving onto Boston Rd. and entering the Claremont Pkwy station. Only if you want to have them connect. Just throwing a thought your way. Otherwise nice work

I'm currently updating my fictional 3rd Ave IRT route and would like to upload a public beta to bvestation. Do I need an admins permission or can I just go ahead and upload it once it's nearly complete?

BVE/OpenBVE Support / Re: NYCTA J/Z route has no sky?
« on: January 21, 2015, 12:05:21 pm »
I have just downloaded JayJay85's latest version (V1.5) of the JZM\Nassau line and again the sky is all black.  The screen shot shows a blue sky with clouds. I spoke with another railfan that has the same problem.   JayJay's instructions says "If you are having issues installing or running the line, please reply on the BMT Nassau St Line Support page"  Where is this page????? Does anyone know how to contact JayJay?

The real issue is that the black background is set for the entire route. If you want the sky background you have to edit the code yourself and choose which background is shown when the route goes outside. (For example: .back 3,) Or you can copy one of the other backgrounds in the place where the black background is in the texture area of the code.

General BVE/OpenBVE / Re: (WIP) R110A and R110B Thread

This is the link to nycsubway.org in the 110A and 110B directory. Has info and datasheets as well as interior and exterior photos you could use as reference. I notice that car exterior is not the 110A but a 142/142A.

negative integers or decimals on the x axis mean to the left, on the y axis they mean below, and on z I will take a guess and say it would be how many degrees to the left objects (and most likely only objects) are rotated to the left. And then obviously positive integers or decimals are the opposite. Hope that helps

General BVE/OpenBVE / Re: Can somebody please update the (7) line?
« on: December 20, 2014, 11:12:17 pm »
Unlikely to happen anytime soon since there hasn't been any update to the status of the Manhattan bound 7 for a while. Unless of course you go and record the announcements yourself and put it in the code. (I mean no ill intent by this reply, just an answer and possible solution)

Transit / Re: Coming to NYC for Christmas

There are a few R42's still on the J/Z line but it's been a rare sight now since it seems like the R32's taken from the C are still being operated along the Nassau Line. Don't know about the other stuff but the R62A's that were taken from the 7 line were put into service on the Pelham 6 line. From what I've seen most are full 10 car R62A's while there is one full 10 car R62 and one mixed set of train cars (5 car set of R62A's and 5 car set of R62's coupled together) You might also be able to catch a  few R160's on the R line. I think the F and R swapped trains since I'm seeing a lot more R46's on the F.

Nothing. It still won't work. Can someone please post tutorial?
In your Program Files folder there should be a folder titled BVE with everything BVE related in it. Now within the BVE folder you should have the Railway and Train folders. The folders in the Railway folder are as follows: Object, Route, Sound. The folder housing the J/Z objects in the Object folder directory should be titled JMZ since that is what's written in the code. Every other object folder 6thAve, Culver, 8thAve etc.. should also be in the Object folder directory in the Railway folder. Check your folders first (again if you did this) and see if it works. Remember the J & Z object folder is titled JMZ. And make sure you are running the more detailed beta because the route download came with an all local J that is poorly detailed and missing objects purposely.
